Excellent location, very spaciouy

Due to it being an old building, insulation was not great and we could hear people watching tv and talking in the room next door and the people Above us walking around. But no traffic noise on our end pf the building .

The building was beautifully appointed with vintage furniture and felt like a home. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. The location was perfect for walking around San Francisco (as long as you can walk up/down hills!), but it was also close to transit options. Tram stop was right outside the building!

Location was really central and using the tram was extra easy to go around. The bathroom was freshly renovated and had an extra clean feel of it which we liked the most.

Little outdated interior and no fresh air in the room even with the windows open. Also for the two days we were staying, there was a sewer smell in the lobby of the hotel- but not the room.

Loved the powell place! So unique and cozy in the middle of the city. Felt like a historic slice in the middle of a busy city. The reception area was beautiful, and my room was large and everything you need.

I just couldn't get that coffee machine to work in the room. Otherwise, no issues.

The location was close to most things but the walk back up the steep hill got us every time.

Having a kitchen perhaps took up the space. The bathroom was tiny and the sleep space as well.

The pleasant and helpful staff: The 24/7 doorman: access to the premises was via a security buzzer via the doorman. Walking distance to most activities: and the cable car right out the front door. The rooms were very well appointed and quiet 🤫.

The only negative was that there was no washing machine in the apartment. But the was a laundry about a 10 minute walk away.
