Such a beautiful local family, very kind and loving. They are both very eager to fulfill all your needs, from delicious food to scooters or bicycles. The place is located in such a natural jungle area, i felt very safe. Definitely coming back

This is absolutely the best stay I have had in Sri Lanka ❤️ The moment I arrived at Midigama Inn I felt like home. Kurulu & his family will always meet you with so much happiness, always ready to help you with whatever you need. As a solo female traveler, it is important to feel safe and I felt so safe at Midigama Inn. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 10 nights, and I never want to leave. On my first day I did the cooking class and learned so much about different curries, and had the best food experience so far in Sri Lanka. The location is perfect for you who wants to be close to nature but still close to beach & main road. I love surfing, and the location is perfect for surfing at Lazy left & right and also Fisherman’s point. Make sure you visit Babas sunset cafe on the beach! There is some shops renting out surfboards on mainroad. The garden is absolutely stunning, always surrounded with flowers. They put beautiful decorations of flowers that they put in the room and outside of the room. The room is very clean, spacious & bed is so comfortable! I am very adventurous and Kurulu helped me to arrange with all the details to explore the surroundings and to explore Sri Lanka like a local. I saw different beaches, many different Buddhist temples, elephant safari, jungle, Sinharaja, mountains. Ask Kurulu, he will arrange everything for you for a good price! :) Thank you so much for all the happiness, love, help, support, beautiful and interesting talks. And the best food!!! The time I spent at the guesthouse midigama Inn Birds Lodge was a tousand times better than I could have ever imagined❤️ I planned to stay only for a few days and ended up not wanting to leave and extended my stay for almost a month. If you are lucky enough to get a room here you will be able to enjoy a spacious room in a peaceful place close to nature with everything you need. And if you do need anything else, Kurulu and Chandima are always eager to help! The way they love to host guests and put their heart in it is truly wonderful and unique! If you need to work or write etc. there are great possibilities and you can watch the monkeys, mongoose, peacocks, birds etc. right in front of your room! The mosquito net is very good and the nights are super calm and relaxing with the sound of nature. Furthermore you get to live next to this vibrant family, meet these openminded and -hearted people. My stay at the midigama Inn made me fall in love with Sri Lankan culture, hospitality and nature❤️🇱🇰 I will be back 100% :)

We had the loveliest and most peaceful stay here at Midigama Inn. The family are so kind and welcoming. They have put an incredible amount of effort in to making everything about the stay feel special. We were offered delicious tea and coffee throughout the day, saw peacocks, mongoose, deer, lizards and monkeys, and they also put fresh flower arrangements in front of each room for the guests. Showers were great, rooms were clean, bed is huge and very comfortable with a very effective mosquito net! Fantastic wifi! If you have the chance to stay here, please do!!
