Cornellskop Country Stay

Beautiful view from the house and beautifully furnished. Great set up and so nice to have a hot tub and the swimming pool. Big braai and communal areas with gates on stairs for the kiddies were great. Farm and staff were wonderful.

Loads of flies. I think because of the farm and the heat in January. There were two doom sprayers however we went out to by fly traps because the flies were so bad. Only one aircon in upstairs bedroom worked so it was a bit uncomfortable for all the other rooms to sleep in the January heat.

Beautifully appointed house with everything you could want. Lovely inside outside space. Felt extremely private eventhough there is a cottage next door. Very friendly and attentive host. Perfect for summer or winter

One is on a farm so there are flies in Summer - some fly candles would be great.

There is some maintenance needed on the outside of property like painting walls etc

We stayed for 2 nights in the Swallows Rest cottage. What an amazing house. So much level to detail and so complete equipped. We could stay here or weeks. Besides that the location is unbelievable with so many animals, even walking around the house. The Wild life tour with Erin or Shane is a must. We learned so much about nature and life in SA in general and they are so kind and friendly. We wish everybody on the farm all the best!!

Finishings. First night had no hot water, dishwasher was broken. Place not cleaned properly, bit dusty.

Only issue is the shower going on and off cold and hot from the gas geyser. Besides that, incredible all round and will defitely be back

Braai tongs broke, but got a new set the next morning.

The property is in an ideal, quiet and remote rural area. It is near wine farms and excellent MTB and hiking trails.

There were no staff to welcome us. We were never approached by the owners or any staff to check if all was ok. Outside furniture was extremely uncomfortable and one could not just sit comfortably and relax and enjoy the view. The cooking utensils left much to be desired, and was it not for the fact that we bought some new items to use, we would have not been comfortable preparing our meals. We departed a day early and are yet to receive any communication from the property . This may be a great place for people that love to camp and live it rough, however for the more discerning type of traveller I’d recommend to give this place a wide berth.
