Cornellskop Country Stay

We spent two days on this amazing farm and it was very sad to leave because it's such a soulful place. We were delighted by Ryan's hospitality and thoughtfulness. He gave us very detailed directions to the farm, and upon arrival, he gave us recommendations for restaurants and grocery stores. The house itself and its location were magnificent. The interior was well thought out to the smallest detail, and you just wanted to examine every detail; the house is furnished with great love. We felt ourselves in the very heart of nature; peacocks were walking in our yard! Separately, it is worth mentioning the animal tour that Luca conducted for us. He told us many interesting facts about the animals on the farm. We saw a hyena, a caracal, lions, meerkats, an ostrich and even petted the fastest animal on the planet - a cheetah! The tour was incredible, we experienced a storm of emotions! Thank you so much for an amazing weekend on the farm! We will definitely come back again

Great location and really cool house! Loved the whole stay! Great for groups of friends looking for a quality house amongst the amazing vineyards!!

What a lovely place!!! The cottage was styled beautifully, equipment all good, beds slept well. Many animals (especially peacocks) roaming around the place.We really enjoyed the hospitality of Riaan and his team!

Beautiful location, so relaxing. The property is surrounded by the most beautiful view. The animals was a bonus and did not expect that there was so much to do and see on the farm.

Nothing not to like.

We booked all the accommodation on the farm, as there were sixteen of us in total, life-long friends and family. The farm is truly beautiful. We experienced extreme weather during our stay, although half of the Saturday was sunny, and so those of us who chose to were able to enjoy the animal encounter, guided by Luka (Luca?). We thoroughly enjoyed our introduction to Lola, the hyena, and being able to interact with the caracal and the cheetahs and to hear the lions, particularly at night. Luca was kind enough to load up our littlies into his bakkie on the Sunday morning when he and Gabe went to feed the giraffes and the zebras up at the top of the farm. They loved every minute. We were unable to cross the river on the Sunday to start our journey home, as part of the bridge had been washed away. This was a cause for some extra excitement. Cornell Skop gave us a free stay that night, and also assisted one of our party on the Sunday in crossing on the tractor to meet her lift, as she had a work deadline the following day. The hot tub was thoroughly well used by both adults and children, some of whom then bombed into the freezing cold pool to test out the Wim Hoff method. We would love to visit again in a different season, but our overall experience was well worth repeating. (The meerkats were enchanting!) Riaan was excellent with communicating with us at all times.

We would particularly have liked a fire in the lounge, but there was a problem with the fireplace. There are some other things which can be sorted out, but we will liaise with the hosts on those. Nothing big enough to spoil our stay.
