Garden House

Sehr schönes und außergewöhnlich sauberes Haus. Bushaltestelle und Taxistand um die Ecke. Alles ist vorhanden in der Küche und sogar Waschtabs für die Spülmaschine und die Waschmaschine wurden bereit gestellt. Kleines Café/Bar in der Nähe. Supermarkt und Bäckerei sind auch zu Fuß erreichbar. Man kann bequem vor dem Haus parken. Mara und Carlos waren immer per WhatsApp zu erreichen und haben uns tolle Tipps gegeben. This place exceeded all our expectations. Hospitality. We were met as dear guests with food, wine and gifts from Madeira. Host provided detailed information to help our arrival and stay in Madeira. Amazing property with stunning view. It has everything you can think of, including real wood BBQ. Convenient parking - this is very important in Madeira. We were very pleased with the stay.

Talo on todella hyvien linja-auto yhteyksien päässä Funchal. Autolle myös hyvät parkkipaikat. Todella hienot näkymät kaupunkiin. Grillaus mahdollisuus. Omistaja todella ystävällinen ja opastava. Talo on tilava ja keittiö täydellinen. Kiitos todella paljon! The house is really close to good bus connections to Funchal. Also good parking for the car. Really nice views of the city. Barbecue possibility. The owner is really friendly and informative. The house is spacious and the kitchen is perfect. Thank you very much!

Very welcome hosts, very clean, good location, wonderful views, easy parking

A szállásadó értünk jött a repülőtérre, ami nagy könnyebség volt. Gyönyörű városranéző panorámás, ízlésesen berendezett tiszta rendes ház. Autóval könnyen megközelíthető, annak ellenére, hogy viszonylag távol van a központtól, de autóval 10 perc alatt az is elérhető. A háztól 100 méterre van egy kávézó és kis bolt, de mi a Sesami-ba mentünk kávézni és reggelizni, ami 3 perc autóval, vigyázz, előtte a parkoló fizetős. Mara és Carlos egész nyaralásunk alatt minden kérdésünkben segítségünkre voltak.

The views from the lovely house was amazing. Everything was beyond expectations and we had a great week in the beautiful city of Funchal. The house is very close to the bus that takes you to the city in no time. Mara and Carlos were amazing hosts, and was always ready to help. Such lovely people, who even got us a gift when we arrived, with local food. Thank you so much for a great stay in Garden House 👏

Herzlicher Empfang von Mara und kurzer Rundgang mit allen notwendigen Erklärungen. Während des Aufenthaltes steht Mara mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung. Das freistehende Haus ist in einem super Zustand und sehr gepflegt. Das Highlight ist der fantastische Ausblick auf Funchal. Super Lage am Botanischen Garten und die Seilbahn zum Monte Palace ist auch um die Ecke. Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf (inkl. super Bäcker) sind ca. 10 min Fußweg entfernt. Taxistand sowie Bushaltestelle machen das Haus auch ohne PKW gut erreichbar. Die Anbindung mit PKW ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Damit geht das einzige Manko einher, die Schnellstraße führt ca. 50m (nicht direkt) unter dem Haus entlang und erzeugt eine gewisse Geräuschkulisse. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Die Betten sind relativ hart, was mir persönlich gefällt. Aber ich bin mir sicher, dass Mara eine Lösung findet, falls es etwas weicher sein soll.

The best part is the view from terrace! Dinners with sunsets were incredible. Location is also perfect, specially if you rented a car as access to highway is very good. Although you do not hear it that much, so proximity is not an issue. Bolt/Taxi ride to city center costs ~6-8 EUR one way. House is well maintained, having dishwasher and washing machine was super convenient for two week stay. Mara and Carlos were very thoughtful and generous hosts, always helpful with recommendations.

The house is just a dream. You have everything there, it is spotless, the garden is the best place to relax and enjoy the views over the ocean. You can easily drive to Funchal, but there is also a good bus connection (once you figured out how the time tables work 😉). You can park your car next to the house. Mara and Carlos are the best hosts, they provide you with all the information you need and and have wonderful tips. They are always available if you need something. We had a perfect stay and could really recommend this place. Thanks for everything!
