Ngongotaha Lakeside Lodge

Great space with wonderful view of the lake, must see a sunrise! The trail along the water was so nice for walks. Easy communication with hosts and very accommodating when we asked to stay an extra night! Little touches such as fresh flowers on arrival was greatly appreciated!

It may not be the nicest part of town but price reflects that and is a great option if you have a car to drive into town.

Good location for friends and family.

Great location close to the water. Spacious place with plenty bedding and towels and other amenities thought off including milk and eggs in the fridge! Very thoughtful

The waste disposal on the sink unfortunately had not been cleaned properly and not long after we arrived we a noticed the maggots all through the sink and over the kitchen bench. It was quite disturbing and icky. Unfortunate I suppose. The oven also hadn’t been cleaned. The floors creaked very loudly and one of the bedroom doors did not shut easily meaning everytime someone got up in the night everyone in the house woke up. Outside of this it was a lovely place though and clean and tidy otherwise! Just for the money spent was expecting slightly better

Kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Owner was kind to give us some oranges from the tree in her backyard.

The windows needs some cleaning. Unfortunately the grass is all overgrown and obscured the lakeviews, so we are disappointed as it differs from the pictures.
