Everything was perfect

This is the most incredible hotel. The views are simply breathtaking and the hospitality of the staff is absolutely overwhelming. Mr Thilak, hotel manager, and his team took care of every detail during our 2 day stay with them. We were travelling with young children (age 3 & 6) and they were so accommodating and kind it was really heartwarming. Small things like our eldest mentioned how he wanted to try a King Coconut at some point during his stay in Sri Lanka, and the next morning at breakfast, the team had thoughtfully carved two for the kids, in the shape of a mouse, so they could try the refreshing coconut water. Mr Thilak also arranged for a short cooking class for us to make our own Hoppers for breakfast, it was a great and interactive experience- especially for the kids. The food menu was brilliant for families, which was something we were a little worried about hearing stories from friends, but here there was even a kids menu here and lots of things our boys enjoyed. Our stay happened to fall over International Women's Day, and I was stopped in the afternoon and presented with a rose and a small gift to celebrate the event. It was so thoughtful. The swimming pool at the hotel is amazing, with views from the pool, restaurant and lobby that will literally take your breath away. Surprise visits from the local monkeys were also fun! We had a driver for our trip and also took the chance to visit Kandy which took us about 1 hour... worth the trip to see some of the famous sights, though I must say we were happy to return to serenity of Greenacres after a full on day of busy city life. We were so sad when it came time to leave, and would truly reccomend anyone travelling to Sri Lanka to brave the jungle path to the hotel and absorb the beautiful setting, wonderful views and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Above all, the hotel has the most incredible staff with the closest attention to detail and we would truly like to thank them all for their fabulous service!

We loved it all! Perhaps only change would be to ensure the parasols at the poolside are working.

Hotel nowhere near the main part of Kandy and miles into the hills so be prepared for that but that's why you get the stunning views from the hotel.

Stunning location - breathtaking vista - sunset and dawn from fairyland

Stunning location and scenery (though the road to get to it takes some manoeuvring!) Very peaceful place, the perfect nature retreat, and it’s 30 mins from the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The staff were very warm and attentive, and there was a great chef who made very tasty food throughout.

The water in the swimming pool was very cold! But everything else was great!

Everything about this hotel was amazing, the views are breathtaking taking. The staff are so welcoming and kind, they really care for the guests. Rooms are a great size and clean. There are a lot of bugs but expected as it is in the jungle. The food was absolutely delicious if you want authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The pool is perfect. There is not much to do and it is far away from everything, but absolutely perfect if you just want to relax, which is exactly what I needed.

The road up to the hotel is a bit scary but if you have a good driver this is not a problem. Spa facilities were not open but I will for sure book again as soon as they are. Few too many bugs in the room
