Very central location

Water and electricity not always available. One night had no power and also no water since the pump couldn't work. They're working it out with the authorities - hope it gets fixed soon. The public ferry operators are shady they try to make you pay more than the usual fare. We didn't give in and you shouldn't either - this is just for info so be aware. It is important to clarify that this is not a shortcoming of Seaside Hostel by any means - the hostel is a pleasant place and the owner and staff are nice people.

The best thing about my stay in this accommodation has certainly been Babe's kindness in any kind of consultation. She gave me very good assistance and thanks to her I'm leaving Malapascua with an amazing feeling and looking forward to coming back.

The bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked good.

Very bare plain room, The water was smelly when I took a shower

Great location. Dived with Dive Nation as well which was great. Loved sitting on the veranda and reading during my down time. Beautiful view. Be aware that the showers are not heated (I read this in a previous review so knew ahead of time). If you shower in the afternoon or evening though, the water is warm/hot! Very comfortable and would stay here again if I came back.

Fantastic location, waking up to blue water outside my window. Aircon, easy going vibe, a beautiful balcony upstairs to enjoy the sunset or coffee. Babe and Adelyn were great hosts. Value for money cannot be beaten on Malapascua. Also, I felt that my belongings and self were safe. Comfy mattress too :) originally booked 3 nights, stayed 7.

Sometimes the water refill was empty, but it’s a small imperfection really. Some may find water pressure low, but the whole island gets water from a borehole so don’t be alarmed, it’s island life!

I loved that you are literally at the beach just outside your room door

Power outings happen very often in Malapascua so it's important to book a place with power generator. This wasn't the case and we spent a couple of night with no airco
