Villa Porpora

Breakfast was good, a variety of pastries. Our room was very clean, and bathroom was clean and modern. Just three doors down is a wonderful restaurant, Osteria, for dinner. Bed was comfortable! Just a 15 minute walk to the Pompeii Ruins and 20 minutes to the Train Stationof Pompeii.

Pillows were hard. We checked in at another hotel, that then sent us to Villa Porpora.It's a 15 minute walk, which we didn't mind. Unfortunately, the directions given by the check in gentleman, were not clear. My recommendation would be to take a taxi from the check in area to the Villa Porpora. Perhaps helpful would be a small paper map to get from the check in hotel to Villa Porpora (for those of us who were walking.) Also, it would be helpful to have a Wi-Fi Passcode for Villa Porpora! Other than the bit of confusion to find Villa Porpora, our stay was great.

We were walking and came by train. Didn't know we had to go to another hotel alltogether to get the key. There is no front desk, no one there except housekeepers. Then there was the train. Goes by constantly even in the night (not all night). Rattles everything and is really loud. No one mentions that. The shower didn't drain well, there's no trashcan in the kitchen area which is weird, and the housekeepers were smoking in the kitchen.

A lot of information is missing or false from the property description. Due to the staff and website misinformation, we ended up paying extra for transportation and breakfast. Starting fee is $25 Euro for taxi from this property to the train station even if it’s a 5-8 minute drive.

We loved everything about our stay. Highly recommended. Great facilities with our room, and highly enjoyable swimming pool access which was lovely

A little inconvenient to have to travel to alternative address (though quite short distance) to check in/out and have breakfast. Suggest to make this more clear on advertisement.
