"This is a scam. Upon arrival I called the host but he would send my calls straight to voicemail."

Nothing at all, considering the fact that I wasn't able to access the unit & did not get assistance on the phone when I tried reaching out to the host.
I didn't gain access to the property and my calls were all sent to voicemail.

The place is no longer available for rentals there are pple staying ther permanently. They are scamming ppl cz the security guard said ppl xome there everyday for vacation and he has to trll them same thing. You pay and the container on bookings .com goes to voice mail. I'm still fighting to be refunded for the money I booked with. I don't know why the place is still listed for rentals cz now I mst contact bookings.com en fight to be refunded, I'm disgusted! Imagine packing en ready with kids then boom u have to go back home with no answers nxa
