TuiGlen lakeside apartment

We were welcomed by the host like family. Shown around the property, in particular the spa and how to operate it. They had also ensured the property was warm when we arrived given it was a cold day.

Some of the crockery was chipped (mugs and breakfast bowls).

Everything home away from home

Spacious comfortable 2 bed apartment with balcony and own private entrance. Well equipped with lots of added extras to enhance the stay. Very clean and good Wi-Fi and TV. The apartment is behind the host's house and so has privacy and is quiet. Wonderful hot tub and swimming pool for your use in front of their house - and the views from the garden and one of the apartment's bedrooms are beautiful. Glendyr is a generous and thoughtful host, whilst still being very discreet, so maintaining the privacy. The location is a few miles out of Rotorua so you get the peace and quiet and yet are only 15 mins drive from the centre and various restaurant options. Good value for money.

Nothing - we would definitely recommend this place

The host Glendyr was lovely. She greeted us when we arrived and took us for a tour of the lovely grounds, pool and our apartment. She immediately made us feel at home. The facilities were excellent. Can't think of anything that could make it better. The use of the lovely heated pool was a bonus and one evening Glendyr joined me for a swim and a chat (she asked me first if I minded). The property is right on the lake front. Saw the sunrise one morning which was beautiful. Very peaceful, about 7k out of town but a straight road there. Glendyr also makes available two kayaks and lifejackets and two E bikes with helmets all free of charge. Such a shame we were not there long enough to use them. Wonderful stay. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We had a wonderful stay! The owners are so lovely and we would highly recommend this as a place to stay. Great accommodation, clean and tidy, great facilities, amazing view and some beautiful welcoming touches. It feels like a home away from home. Loved getting to meet the families furballs as well. Big thumbs up from us.

Leaving - we wanted to stay longer

Lovely apartment with all the facilities you need and more. Clean and comfortable. Lakeside location is amazing and the availability of kayaks and bicycles made our visit more special. It's an easy ride into town. We didn't use the pool but it looked very inviting.
