TuiGlen lakeside apartment

The host wants you to be very happy and enjoy your stay to the fullest at her house. We felt amazing there and took full advantage of everything the accommodation offers: pool, spa, kayaks, and bicycles. The place is fabulous, and the view of the lake is incredible. There is nothing negative we can say, just many thanks.

Spacious accommodation - 2 bedrooms and very thoughtfully equipped throughout. The kitchen had everything you could want for cooking any sort of meal. Use of the owner's kayaks on the lake and ebikes was appreciated too.

The apartment is accessed through the owner's garage and the accommodation and facilities feel very much part of their home rather than a self-contained apartment.

The property is beautiful and very comfortable. Very ideal for couples or a small family. Great for the warmer seasons as it facilitates to a private swimming pool and easy access to the lake. The spa is a bonus for later in the day when it gets cooler. Also the Hosts are lovely and very welcoming.

The only downer are the Lake flies (they're harmless but can get irritable). So its best not to leave any outside lights on and/or leave any doors and windows open at night (except for any windows that have bug screens)But the Host informs you on your arrival, and also some light switches are clearly marked to switch them off after use. It is clearly stated in their house rules book aswell.

Great location,quiet & a short walk to lakefront & handy to the attractions in the area by car, or use the electric bikes for Ngongotaha, or ride to Rotorua via the bike trail.Kitchen was one of the best we have experienced ,so well set up with everything you need for a great relaxing stay.The host Glendyr was fantastic & so helpful.

Having to leave

We were a group of friends travelling together and were looking forward to some Rostand relaxation as well as touristing. We were given a lovely welcome and were shown around the wider property, which had a lovely spa that looked out over the lake. The setting was beautiful and also extremely peaceful. The apartment was fantastic. It was extremely well thought out, more than comfortable and had everything (plus more) that we could possible want for our stay. We all felt our stay was an absolute treat. Even though the accomodation was 6.5 km's out of Rotorua's CBD, we did not feel isolated. In fact Ngongataha felt a perfect place to stay. The area was so peaceful and calming. I would recommend Tui Glen as a place to stay to anyone.
