The view outside is very nice. Friendly staff.

No water heater, no fan. Got so many mosquitoes. Some people karaoke very noisy. We can’t sleep peacefully.

Frans and his wife are super friendly, interested and helpful with anything you might need. Frans responds fast if there's questions, which is amazing. Food was great quality and good portions. Room itself was clean. If guesthouse isn't fully booked you van have breakfast or dinner at any time, amazing flexibility. Was also easy to book an extra night, unplanned. Price/quality is great. Good hot water shower. Swimming in the lake is possible. Highly recommend!

Hot water can run out pretty fast. Some things (for example faucet on bathroom sink) was loose and a bit dirty, some other examples like this. Sitting area outside at the lake could do with a lot of improvement. The chairs were uncomfortable and there's concrete and some broking things around, not very cozy. Also the chairs on the balcony outside of the room were uncomfortable. For some reason the water pump was really loud when used. If sensitive to sounds, bring earplugs.

Jojo and everyone else were always so cheerful and full of lighthearted banter no matter the time of day. She even gave me a second helping of breakfast and also drove me to the ferry terminal upon departure, a kind gesture I really appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean and the shower was able to run very hot. The view of the lake was pretty and minivans run regularly all day from the main road outside.

The karaoke on weekend nights was really loud, so good earplugs are essential. My room had no toilet paper, but I'm sure they could provide some if requested for. There also aren't many places within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Located next to the lake Toba. It was kept clean and tidy. The owner was very friendly and accommodating

Wish they have installed electric hot water instead of gas as the pressure was not enough to be used with shower

Frans and Jojor were so lovely, organised everything for us and offered to drop us off at ATMs no matter the time of day, truly so hospitable. Property felt super personal, the staff were great and the dogs were adorable. Lots to do on the island, the hotel is a fair walk away from Tuk Tuk and Tomok but Jojor and Frans organised transport for us no problem! The views were incredible and right on the lake too.

Just a suggestion - maybe a couple of small bins inside the rooms to dispose of rubbish but everything else was great :)

Very helpful, friendly and caring owners, pickup from and droping to ferry. Quiet place with direct access to the lake. Tasty meals.

In case of really strong winds the roof Is noisy.

This is a good accommodation, beautifully situated by Lake Toba. You can easily walk from your room to the lake, where you can enjoy a nice swim. The location is a bit outside the village, so renting a scooter is recommended to explore the island. The friendly Dutch owner will pick you up at the harbor.
