The room is terrible. Very dated. No facilities at all. The sink tap was placed so close to the sink that normal hand washing was not possible. The toilet was in the shower. The shower water was very cold and the water supply was very minimal. Noisy Indonesian guests who were not dealt with. Loud shouting, music, singing, giving gas. very amateurish. The location was very far from shops and sightseeings The owner did her very best, but unfortunately….

Beautiful view of the lake, very nice room and comfortable bed. Owners and staff were all very friendly. Food was great! Adorable puppies around during my stay.

It was fine for me but is a little way away from the main centre of Tuk Tuk, be prepared to hire a scooter or owners can provide a bicycle free of charge 😊

To improve they need ti put king size. Need hot shower.its so cold here. The staff here was very helpful. They boil water for us. Help us with transportation and every single issue anytime. They are the best.,.

Friendly staff, very welcoming, helpful with renting of scooters and ordering taxi for the airport. Nice breakfast. Rooms are clean and beautiful location at Lake Toba!

Jojo and Franz were both so welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The hotel is spotlessly clean and in such a beautiful, peaceful location on the lake. We ate within the on-site restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious every time. We hope to come back to visit again in the future!

The hosts and the staff were super friendly and very helpful to make our short stay in Lake Toba fulfilling. They helped arrange scooter rentals and lended me a large bicycle since the rental bicycles in town are all medium sized. And they provided detailed information on where to go on the island. The food was also great. Breakfast was big and tasty. And dinner seemed like it was home cooked. We mostly ate vegetarian except for grilled fish once which was also excellent.

The hotel was very clean but a bit rustic. Facilities could be updated a bit. Because it was a local holiday weekend, a few of the guests were loud late at night for one night but the next night the hotel was very quiet and peaceful.

Frans and Jojor are amazing people. We had a very good experience with them. They went beyond and above to arrange a more strong wifi connection because we work remote. Unfortunately this was not possible, but besides that the location, the restaurant and there hospitality has been amazing. Would stayed longer if I was not in desperate need of a stable wifi connection.

I liked my morning sessions on the stand up paddle. I liked the comfortable bed. Hotel Barbara staff also picked me up and dropped me off in the center. That was very much appreciated.

I was unable to enjoy the kayak, because the seat was missing and the paddles had been broken in half. I got locked into my bathroom because the handle had not been installed all the way. Additionally, some members of staff seemed more interested in making tiktoks and taking pictures of/with me than ensuring that I had a comfortable stay.
