Quite simply the most lovely place I/we have ever stayed anywhere and was quite magical and was just what we need to recharge. Eating communally was really great and we got to know the other guests a bit and that only added to our experience. As for all the staff, what can I say, there was not anything that was to much trouble for them and all of them were polite and lovely and the food was amazing. Thank you to everybody at Tekanda for making our stay so memorable

We had a very comfortable and really enjoyable four nights at this boutique hotel. The hosts and owners demonstrate a real and genuine commitment to their values focused on working with an in the community. It is a relatively new and very exciting enterprise. Great staff. Delicious food.

Tekanda Lodge was the absolute highlight of our three-week honeymoon in Sri Lanka. Charlie and Richard have created an architectural masterpiece that blends seamlessly with nature, offering a tranquil escape that felt like a second home. Their warm hospitality, along with their wonderful team, made our stay truly special. If you’re lucky enough to find availability, don’t hesitate—book it immediately. I was rather sad to leave, but delighted that my flip-flops have found a better, new life there!

Everything! Tekanda lodge is a true gem. from the kindest hosts and staff, to the breathtaking surroundings and beautifully designed lodge. While there’s a very relaxed and calm atmosphere t, communal breakfast -which is delicious! (lunch and dinner) - gives you the opportunity to meet and connect with other guests. 7-10 mins ride from bustling and fun Ahangama and the beach.

Tekanda Lodge is a really special place - not only the hotel but everything around it that Richard and Charlie built.The lodge is located on a hill and you've got an amazing view while being surrounded by nature. It's a very nice luxurious stay without being shut off from the surroundings. The Hotel only has six rooms, so it is very calm and relaxed. Richard and Charlie are very welcoming and you feel at home instantly. We are definitely looking forward to come back.

Amazing 3 night stay to finish our Sri Lanka trip. Richard & Charlie clearly care a great deal about the Lodge and a huge amount of effort goes into ensuring each guest has a brilliant time. Would definitely return as it is so peaceful and the rooms are brilliant.

The lodge and it’s facilities are exceptional. But the most notable aspect of the stay at Tekanda are the people who work there. Every single person does an incredible job of making you feel well looked after. The meals are also delicious (highly recommend staying in for those). And finally, ‘the vibe’ is just good. I would go back again and again and hope I do!
