Catlins area accommodation

This was a good studio, everything we needed was here. Easy access to the property and lovely and clean.

Comfy room for a great price. Nice and clean. Great cafe only 2 minutes walk

The curtain shower was making the whole bathroom flooded

We were greeted by a strong, unidentifiable smell in the flat. The flat is extremely noisy. Above us was a group of guests who partied loudly until around 4:30 in the morning – including shouting and karaoke. Unfortunately, sleep was out of the question, despite talking to the people. It was particularly disappointing that the owner was unavailable afterwards despite several attempts to contact him, and our messages have been just ignored to date.

Location and the size of the rooms

Everything else, the TV was not working. Strong odour when we opened the door for the first time. The shower was not draining and we had to stand in our own dirty shower water. The carpet was worn off at many places and there were some nails like protrusions on the floor if we walk barefoot. The oven was not working. Overall a very disappointing experience. Wouldn't recommend as it gives the feeling of staying in a dilapidated building.

TV goes on but I could not change channels or put on sound

Shower, comfortable no cooking facilities a day pub closed.

A gang of Shearers rented the rest ot the accommodation. Noisy, late night, 5am start. No rest for us. Good Food places hard to find.

Self check-in was convenient and the lock box was easy to find and use. The bed was comfortable and very warm especially when using the electric blanket. Stayed warm all night and we went in winter! The water pressure in the shower was good and the water was nice and hot. The off street parking was great. Good central location when wanting to explore the Catlins area!

The toilet flush was weak. Shower curtain could do with a clean as there were some visible spots of mould but nothing of concern.
