Atenea - Optional Beach Club

We werden hartelijk ontvangen door Mia en haar man. We waren in een klein paradijs terecht gekomen, wat een geweldige plek!! Alles was tiptop in orde, en Mia stond voor iedereen steeds ter beschikking... Heel rustig gelegen, ruime en nette kamers. Ongedwongen sfeer, we voelden ons er meteen thuis. Konden we er maar langer blijven!!

El trato personal de José y Mia. Muy atentos en todo. Ofreciéndose a darnos información de todo de logística sus consejos nos ayudaron mucho para movernos y sobre todo huir de los sitios de "turistas". Un diez. El alojamiento super bien.. mucha tranquilidad y aunque hay obras enfrente no molestan por los horarios y no hacen ruido..Si quieres tranquilidad es el sitio..a unos 20 minutos del centro y del bullicio. Pero se puede ir andando por la playa tranquilamente.

Hotel très sympa ultra propre petit déjeuner super mia et José sont super et de bon conseils emplacement top vraiment le meilleur hotel que l on a fait au Mexique.

Nous avons adoré ce petit coin de paradis. La plage magnifique à 2mn à pied. Les chambres sont décorées avec goût, spacieuses. Rien ne manquait. La cuisine est également très pratique. Une belle piscine et un rooftop pour admirer le coucher du soleil complète ce lieu magique. Les hôtes Mia et José sont des amours. Ils se sont occupés de nous comme jamais nous avons été reçu, on s’est senti comme à la maison.

Fantastic hotel located close by the most beautiful beach at a quite area in Holbox. Mia and Jose are the best hosts, you can ever dream of. Highly recommended!!

First of all the hosts Jose and Mia; they're extremely friendly and helpfull. They run the hotel with a lot of personal care and consideration. Besides that the garden and pool are great! It's a small and quiet place with a great athosphere. At 2 minute walking distance from the beach and close to a small shop and several restaurants. We had the large room above the kitchen for 2 adults and 2 kids and it was perfect <large, good beds, nice shower, balcony, fridge, coffee etc. I would certainly recommend the place for a stay on Holbox. Very good value for money.

Nothing not to like ;) What could be a downside for some is that it's a bit further from the center / village; which comes with pro's and cons.

Atenea HolBox was amazing. Host Mia and Jose are really amazing and welcoming, they helped us to fulfillment our needs. The location is really peaceful, two minutes from a beautiful and quiet beach! Room was big and comfy, hot water perfect! The location is about 20 min walking from downtown, but is not an issue since taxi are always available via whatsapp or via Mia or Jose. Taxi charge a flat fee of $10 USD or 200 pesos mx anywhere in the island. We walked the beach from Atenea HolBox (Playa Punta Cocos) to Punta Mosquito and was an amazing walk, with lots of bars and restaurants a long! I asked for Ice first night and since Jose always text me if I need ice!! Luv it! Breakfast was great and served in our asked time. We would definitely book again in Atenea HolBox!! AMAZING SUNSET FROM BALCONY!

Loved everything. Very simple. Clean. Gorgeous location. One minute walk to the beach. There’s a beach club right in front that doesn’t have a minimum spend. It’s a fifteen minute walk to town down the beach and twenty minutes back by road if it’s high tide. So we had peace and quiet and also for some casual exercise. We also visited the local dog shelter right in the town next to the softball field. Is the nicest shelter I’ve been to and you can take the dogs for walks or just go and play with them. The have a big space to roam around and they don’t feel caged and miserable. Loads of tourists would stop in and take a dog out. It was gorgeous.

The location is peaceful, and the property is meticulously maintained. The owners & hosts, Jose and Mia, are warm, welcoming, gracious and incredibly responsive. They helped with all our questions and needs, transportation, excursions and restaurant recommendations. You will leave feeling well cared for, and that you have made new cherished friends.

I loved everything about Atenea. The only thing I would say is that maybe they could change up the breakfast offerings on occasion.
