Crystal Sands

Breakfast was very simple and basic, every day the same. But we got used to. Staff extremely helpful and open to any requirements.

Older rooms, you could see in detail that it needs some revitalisation over the years of use. Constructions in close vicinity - if you go out for an activity you do not notice as it stops by 4pm.

Good location

The location is top, very close to the boat teminal. We enjoyed the contact with the two people at the reception desk. BUT: - reality nog even close to pictures on Booking com: this is a complete fraude -we were checked in into a room with no airco. They knew this, but checked us in anyway. After complaint they installed a new airco - The airco poured lots of water just where he had to go out to the balcony, free shower - you have to use force to open balcony doors - paint stains all over balcony, small not comfortable chairs on balcony - partial seaview: crazy way of describing what you sea from balcony, see pictures we uploaded - rooftop: very nice pictures on Booking com, now in the middle of two high hotels being built, paint stains, hardly any furniture - water pressure very low which means you can not use the rain shower, only hand shower - hairdryer plug does not fit into the socket in bathroom -poor quality of breakfast buffet - not clean enough - and more

All of the above gave us a very bad experience. We talked to quite a few European guests, they had the same experience. A complete fraude, way to expensive for what the hotels actually offers. DO NOT GO HERE.

The hotel looks amazing in the pictures, however, it was a lot older in person. There is construction everywhere. On both sides of the hotel. we were lucky that they weren't working right next to our room. Other guests weren't so lucky They also blast music for hours every night and when we asked what time it will be turned off, they said 11pm. There was no one around listening to the music. We don't even know why they had it on. The aircon would only go to 24 degrees which isn't great in that heat. The breakfast was a little sad. I wouldn't suggest going full board. There are lots of restaurants near by. It was great to be able to walk everywhere from the hotel. We also booked all of our tours through the hotel.

Loud music Wi fi not great and some days, didnt work. Food not great. Aircon wasnt strong

We had a very pleasant stay at Crystal Sands. The staff was super nice and the hotel itself is quite accommodating. They let us check in much earlier than the original check in time. We enjoyed the breakfast, even though it did not have that much variety, the food was delicious. We also took advantage of the excursions they were offering and really enjoyed them.

We were expecting more from the room - it didn't look as fancy as the photos, most of the furniture was a bit old. The room was overall quiet, but the muslim prayer a few times a day was quite audible - specifically at night at 5 am, it was always waking us up.

They do daily cleaning, staff were nice

Internet was so weak. we ask for several days to fix but until we check out still not working properly
