My stay was great! The location is safe and easy to find. It’s not too noisy so its been very nice The house is well equipped with a kitchen where you can cook and make your own tea, and the living room is cozy too. AC in the room worked perfectly As for cleanliness, everything was spotless clean,. There’s absolutely nothing to complain about in that regard. I stayed in a mixed dormitory with three other people. John, the host, was incredibly friendly and approachable, he even allowed me to check in early, which was a big help. I noticed they are currently doing some construction, so I think the place will be even better once those improvements are completed.

There are a few areas that could be improved. The WiFi doesn’t reach the dorm rooms well and it goes on and off, which was a little inconvenient. Additionally, there weren’t enough plugs in the room, four of us had to share just two outlets. It would’ve been much better if extension cords were provided. The bunk beds are spacious and nice, but it would be great if each bed had curtains for privacy and to block out the light when someone turns it on at night.

We loved our stay at Araw and even extended for two more nights. The location is perfect, it’s near the main street with restaurants, supermarkets, ATM and gas station, but still in a quiet area. The place was always kept clean and the common spaces were really nice. Since it’s a newer homestay, there are some minor things to be improved, such as keeping a stock of toilet paper and a drying rack covered from rain, specifically during the wet season. However, the host, John, made a huge difference, he was always very accommodating to our needs, gave us a lot of tips to explore the island (and even a discount for a nice cafe). He also rented cute scooters for a really good price.

The room is quite small (not a lot of space for big bags) but the common space made up for it. There’s only one bathroom (toilet and shower) shared by up to 6 people, so it gets a bit busy. The kitchen is really well equipped for meals but not cooking (which we didn’t mind - less smelly and cleaner).

It was maintained daily. The owner was very friendly and helped alot.

Absolutely everything! Staying here truly feels like being at home. John, the host, goes above and beyond to ensure every detail is taken care of, making you feel completely comfortable and meeting all your needs. The location is ideal—right next to the port and grocery store, and just a short distance from the main road of General Luna, yet tucked away in a peaceful, noise-free area. The beds are super comfy, everything is spotlessly clean, and the space is fully furnished, including everything you need to cook your own meals - if you want to. I highly recommend this place, whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or as a couple—there’s even a cozy double room! Additionally, there's a lovely porch where you can park or even enjoy a peaceful yoga session in the morning.

Looking for a budget hotel, clean, organized and comfortable? This is definitely the one you are looking for. From a spacious living room with a huge smart TV; to airconditioned rooms and clean bedsheets, pillows and blankets. There is a kitchen with utensils and a fridge if you want to cook something for yourself as well and a toilet with shower (hot and cold.) For me, this is very ideal especially for long stays. Lastly, I would like to mention the owner (John.) Such a very pleasant guy who always checks up on his guests and provide information.

Johns homestay was amazing. I stayed in the private room which was very spacious and clean. Shared kitchen and bathroom were well maintained too. I stayed at the homestay after an unfortunate travel incident and John was very helpful to get me on my way. Can highly recommend.

Only thing I noticed is that the the private room isn't very sound proof. Would recommend some earplugs for the sensitive ears, but besides that everything was top notch.
