Old vintage style beautiful house

The kitchen overall was functional, but the sink area could have been a bit neater and more thoroughly cleaned. A little extra attention to detail there would definitely make the space feel fresher and more inviting. Just a small thing, but worth mentioning for future guests!

The house has character and is very spacious. It is well located for the towns of Fairlie and Tekapo, Mount Dobson ski field and the nearest pub is the Silverstream Pub at 762 State Highway 8, Kimbell and is only a 8 minute drive away. They have a very extensive food menu. The owner was very proactive in answering my questions prior to payment. After I paid for the property, the owner was not so expeditious in answering my queries.

It appears that dispite numerous other people pointing out what they didn’t like about the property the owners have done absolutely nothing about, e.g no instructions on how to operate television, rugs in the main bedroom that were overlapping and a serious trip hazard, there was not enough kitchen utensils/pots:pans & glassware, the gas stove could only be operated with matches, fridge/freezer is not big enough for a large group of people……. neither is the dishwasher. Not sure if the copper cylindrical container at the top of the stairs was the “hot tub”??????? There were cameras installed and if they were recording, then the owners were required to tell their guests that, and we were not informed. There was no clear signage letting us know what areas were potentially being recorded and why. Also, if the cameras were recording video, sound, or both. The house was not overly clean - the pizza oven hadn’t been cleaned since the previous use and light bulbs were not working in several of the light fittings.
