Casa Bambucha Hostel

Great location, quick walk to the beach, very friendly owners and staff. Surf board rentals, nice kitchen, drinking water and good wifi. Would stay again!

Il fait très très chaud a las penitas et les chambres ne possèdent que des ventilateurs ( très bruyants ) Donc nuit chaude et rempli de moustiques surtout dans les WC!

Lovely spacious rooms, decent kitchen and nice communal area! The location is great about 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants. The owners were lovely and they’ve done a great job with the place

The surf instructors were really rude made it v awkward to ask for a lesson (they should make an effort to see if you would be interested also), thankfully there are surf schools/lessons on the beach so we just went with one of them and had a good experience

One of our favourite hostel, witt the Real hostel atmosphere, great kitchen AND common area. The hostel staff was very helpful AND kind! Surfing lessons were very Cool!

Lot smaller than it looks, common area and bathrooms were really dirty, they were not ashamed giving the only bed in a dorm with no mosquitoe nets (no words, no sorry) so surprisingly I got squadrons of mosquitoes enjoying myself all night, rooms are really hot and the upper beds are just 50cm from the upper level wooden floor, so you get all the steps noises and dirt for free 🙌 so I left after one night even I booked 3, many options by the beach, the dudes there are very cool, they just don't give a damn 🥳

Great relaxed hostel at the beach! Could’ve stayed here a long time. Comfortable and sturdy bunk beds, mosquito nets, lockers, outlets by the beds, and fans for every person! Nice big area to hang out during the day. Few minute walk to the beach! Good WiFi! Great staff and volunteers. Free coffee in the morning. Good chill social environment but not a huge party place - so it was quiet after 10 pm! Good kitchen (be sure to go grocery shopping in Leon first as there are not any big grocery stores at the beach - but there are small tiendas selling basics).

Really everything was great! Very minor thing is the bathrooms were frequently out of toilet paper - just something for staff to keep up on (esp at night). Could also buy a kettle and upgrade the fridge for kitchen.
