Where to start… Wow this place is AMAZING. Both Las Peñitas and this hostel in particular were mine and my boyfriends highlight of our Nicaragua trip. The vibe and atmosphere in this hostel is unmatched. The local staff are very involved which is something lacking from so many other hostels and is so nice to experience (great for spanish learning as well!). You end up chatting to the locals working there as well as the owners and volunteers. We became very good friends with the owner Duarte because of this and ended up feeling as if we were part of the Casa Bambucha family! This is our favourite hostel we have stayed at for so many reasons. The private rooms are gorgeous and such good value for money, the dorms are a good size of 4 to a room so you feel as if you get enough privacy. The location is perfect, right next to the beach and close to shops and restaurants. I honestly couldn’t fault this place and wish we could have stayed for even longer! (We booked 2 nights and ended up staying for 11 nights!) Please stay here and experience the magic of Las Peñitas and Casa Bambucha! I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough! Special special shout outs to Duarte, John, and Yasmin!! We miss you Casa Bambucha ♥️

Very nice spaces to hang-out inside or at their multiple tables outside. Easy walk to beach & restaurants.

Coffee-maker & refrig could use replacement

Short walk to the most beautiful surf beach. Gorgeous rustic vibe, nice to have a good mosquito net over the bed. Friendly owner. Very social space. All good.

The showers were a bit hit and miss, but the nica shower was actually really refreshing!

Peaceful, spacious room, friendly hosts, 5 min walk to the beach, great fish restaurant nearby, reasonable price
