Mabalel Lodge

Management and staff were super friendly.

Mabalel Lodge was so accommodating of our requests, they allowed early check-in in line with our other travel plans and the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay there.

Parking bays for the rooms are not marked but that is a minor inconvenience at an otherwise exceptional lodge

Breakfast was good

The fact that they have dogs running around...not everyone is comfortable around dogs...so I couldn't really stay in the restaurant for a long time have to constantly look around and panic about the dogs

We were just passing through the area and this was conveniently located on our route. We booked on the same day as arrival but still everything went smoothly. I think we were the only guests at the time, but still the bar/restaurant was open and we were able to have our dinner on the premises, which was very convenient after a long drive. Definitely, recommend the pizza. Parking next to the room was also great.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. Thankfully we managed with the AC and some insect repellent that we were able to borrow. We could do with some additional lighting in the room.
