Bandara Villa Nuwaraeliya

Het ligt op een plek waar veel onafgebouwde huizen staan. De buitenkant is wat shabby met één overwoekerde tuin maar binnen is het een 4 ster prachtig boutique hotel. Een paradijsje. De douche is warm, de kamers comfortabel. We hadden een 10 gegeven als ze de dakplaat hadden gerepareerd. Schijnbaar is die al een maand stuk. Zonder oordoppen kun je hier niet slapen. Continu hard geklepper. Nog een tip, Loop 100 m verder en je hebt opeens uitzicht op een prachtig meer!

Zeer mooi huis met veel ruimte en fijne zithoekjes. Heel fijne en vriendelijke ontvangst. De bedden waren zeer comfortabel, we hebben onmiddellijk een extra donsdeken gekregen toen we dit vroegen. Netflix en Prime was beschikbaar en werkte goed, net zoals de wifi. Het ontbijt was heel goed en afwisselend (verblijf van 3 nachten). Bij een vroeg vertrek naar Horton Plains NP werd een lekker ontbijtpakket klaargemaakt. Wij hebben ook 3x gedineerd, het eten werd vers klaargemaakt tegen het afgesproken uur en we mochten mee beslissen wat er op tafel kwam!

Het enige minpunt was de vochtigheid in het huis waardoor er veel schimmelvorming op de muren was (slaapkamers, badkamers, eetruimte). Dit heeft uiteraard ook te maken met het vochtige klimaat en de hevige regenbuien maar was voor ons wel echt een grote domper op ons verblijf, wetende dat je in een kamer moet slapen die slecht is voor je gezondheid (en die van je kinderen). De eigenaar doet alles om het zo hygiënisch mogelijk te houden maar schimmel krijg je niet weggewerkt met een laagje verf.

Absolutely perfect stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our entire stay. The service was top-notch—every request was handled promptly and with a smile. The location was ideal, close to everything we needed but still peaceful and relaxing. The food was delicious, with a great variety for every taste, and the dining area was clean and inviting. The amenities were excellent as well. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped. We especially loved the 42'smart TV with Netflix and Prime. Great value for the money.  Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!

Great villa and extremely helpful people working here. Pleasant atmosphere and very good food.

We were visiting during really bad weather conditions (low temperature, strong wind and heavy rain) and experienced some issues: - there was a loud noise from loose metal sheets on roof, - water came inside through windows and walls, so the room was quite humid with beginning of mold grow in some places. And there was no AC or heater to dry the room. In general it's a very good place, but it requires some maintenance: fix roof sheets, waterproof windows and walls (and probably dry it with a heater to prevent mold growing).

After spending 4 days in the sunny eastern region, we arrived in Nuwara Eliya and the cold weather was a pleasant experience. We had a different experience at Appleton Villa, located in a windy area with strong fog and strong winds. You should definitely experience it. The very clean and well-appointed room, spacious smart TV, bathroom with modern amenities and a very comfortable bed, gave us great value for the money we paid. The varied breakfast was very tasty. Our short stay at Appleton Villa was a wonderful experience with the most hospitable staff.

It is truly a nice place, the entire premises are meticulously maintained, The staff were very friendly and always committed to providing us with the best service from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The room was very clean and everything was prepared with great care. The bed was super-comfortable and the linens were spotless and soft. Everything was of the highest standard. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and had modern amenities. The breakfast was very well-prepared with a variety Everything was at the highest level, exceeding our expectations. Highly recommended.

Suresh and his team were great hosts. They helped us organize trips to Horton Plains, Nuwara Eliya and the train station. They were very accomodating and prepared great breakfast and dinner for us. The villa is ~15-20 min ride to Nuwara Eliya city center, but it is ideally loacted to go to the Horton Plain national Park. The room and interior is modern and equipped with everything we needed.

It was truly a unique experience. The overall cleanliness. Friendly hospitality from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, modern amenities in the room and bathroom. (Netflix, Prime Video, wide-screen smart TV with high-speed Wi-Fi connection) The dinner we had was the best dinner we have ever had in Sri Lanka for such a reasonable price. The breakfast was very delicious with variety. This is truly the best accommodation we have had in Sri Lanka. They always have their own unique identity. That's great,
