The Appleton Villa is a peaceful and beautiful place to visit. The rooms are comfortable, nicely decorated, and clean. The food was delicious! The host was amazing and really goes above and beyond to make your stay the best. I highly recommend this place.

Hot water doesn’t last long

Our room had the most comfy beds we have ever tried in Sri Lanka! The linen were also clean and fresh. Chaminda was a really good host and prepared an abundant feast for breakfast. The rooms are spacious enough. The hot water is really a plus as the area is often cooler than the rest of the island. Having access to a connected TV was also a plus. We recommend for sure.

The experience was exceptional and highly recommended! Everything was handled smoothly, with great attention to detail and professionalism. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of the service exceeded expectations. It was a truly remarkable experience, leaving a lasting impression.

Thanks Appleton….! What a tremendous hospitality we received. I personally don’t give 10/10 to anyone . For some reason I see these people how much service oriented. We stay one night near city of Nuwaraeliya. Staying in town is expensive for everything . Then we booked Appleton. We had a great chit chat with Mr Chaminda who revealed how much they care about their guest. Bathrooms were fully loaded with all amenities with top qualities appliances. Over roll we’re fully satisfied.

Wonderful villa once you get there but sadly quite far out of the town. Hosts very kind and helped us to dry our clothes which were pretty damp, however there was a miscommunication over ordering transportation.

It's a little far off Nuwara Eliya, so if you're looking for a calm, quiet place where you can see the mountains while having a cup of tea, that's the right place. Chaminda was super friendly and always helpful. We had a very good time.

Nicely decorated, new and clean hotel near Nuwara Eliza (about 20-25 minutes by car). Very friendly manager and staff, putting in a lot of effort to make the guests feel comfortable. Rooms are adequately sized, bathrooms are a little small but sufficient. The shower could be improved with a curtain. Good, plentiful breakfast with a different variety of dishes every day. Excellent problem solving: one night, a water pipe burst above our room and we got rained on. The manager and staff reacted very quickly and prepared another room for within 20 minutes. Things like that can happen, the quick and kind reaction shows the quality. Thanks a lot for that!

The outside and the balconies still aren’t finished. The neighborhood is a little run down but looks safe. You need to have transport or organize with the manager to get picked up.
