"Good location, pleasant room."

6.0

Great location, tv showed western movies, cleaner was very helpful finding my missing uber, walking me up the street and ringing driver. Also, only hotel I've ever stopped in that had a weighing scale (I lost a stone during my month in India).

Traffic noise bad, right by junction. Some sound-proofing would be good.

Everything I needed was just fine. Early check inn, late check out, loundry, Indian simcard, taxi to the airport The staff and location is just great. Good breakfast was included and just 10 minutes walk away. All these made me come back on the end of my journey for 3 more days

"Pleasant"

6.0

I booked a double standard room but was thankfully upgraded to a deluxe room, which was a larger, airier room with a fabulous view of the train station, although this room could also do with a refresh. There was lots of traffic noise, but that was to be expected given its location. The bed was huge and very comfortable. I would definitely advise booking the deluxe room to everyone, as the standard double was windowless and in need of a lot of refurbishment. My friend wasn't given the luxury of this upgrade at first, but after a short discussion, he was upgraded for 3 of our 4 nights to a deluxe room, too. The staff were very friendly and were trying their best to be as accommodating as they could. The free breakfast at the Residency Hotel was great, even though it was a short distance away.

I was put off at first by the entrance to the hotel, which is in a courtyard at the back of the building, and as we arrived at night, it was quite dark. There was a sign on the door advising no females were allowed, which I found confusing as I am a female and had a booking. Other directional signage was missing. Reception was a desk outside the bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The standard double rooms we originally booked were in a bad state of repair and not the cleanest. The fridge still had leftover food, which was rotting. If we had not been upgraded, I would never have stayed in the hotel. During the day there are men sitting out in the back court preparing food on tarpaulin sheets and at night they slept there, which I would have found unsettling if i had been a solo female traveller, however these men did nothing to make me feel intimidated in anyway and kept to themselves and did not interact with us. Being the sister hotel to The Residency, I am surprised at the vast difference in both hotels. This hotel is ideal for backpackers looking for a cheap bed in a fabulous location in Mumbai.

"Good but messy"

7.0

The room was clean and as described in the app. The staff were friendly and polite. The rooms and bed were comfortable.

The key card that they gave me stopped working after one day. They tried to make new card multiple times but didn't work. It was very inconvenient as I had to ask them to open door every time I went out. Fortunately their master key card was working. There is no card payment option unless you go somewhere else to make the payment.

"Like I was at home in Mumbai"

9.0

The location was perfect. From my room I could see the former Victoriastation. Ideal for a good atmosphere and traveling around Mumbai. Also station Churchgate is on walking distance. The hotel was simple but good, the rooms even better. I had a big, comfortable, very clean room. With a good bed, fridge, safe and water cooker. The shower was good. They offered everytime fresh towels and toilet paper. All the staff of the hotel were very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast at hotel Residency was excellent, outstanding. With a very, very friendly and helpfull staff. With great humor. And a personal style. The food is so very good, with very good variation. It all felt like my home for one week in Mumbai. I always started my day with good energy and a smile on my face. I will go there for sure again at the end of my trip in South India

There was good description on the site that the entrance was at the back of the (old) building. But it still costed me when I arrived from aerport with a taxi some time to find it.
