Greenlake House Top Village

I stayed here with my wife and 8 year old daughter. This place is outstanding and the host is exceptional. If you want a great view of Lake Como, then this is the place to stay. It is simply breath taking. We only stayed two nights (wish we had stayed longer). Being able to enjoy your breakfast on the terrace / balcony whilst enjoying those views was fantastic. The place is so quiet, except during the day you can hear the odd bell coming from a cow grazing in a nearby field. The beds are comfortable, and a nice low maintenance fire to keep you warm if the weather is a little cold. Albert (host) was very kind and helped us when we had an unexpected issue with our car rental company (their mistake!). Albert, we will be forever grateful.

Views are stunning and worth the walk up the hill and the house has everything you may need. Alberto was exceptional, arranged taxis to take us where ever needed. The kindness was unmatchable, even gave us some water as we run out. It’s 20 minute walk from the ferry port in Lenno, a short taxi and you’ll be Tremezzo in 10 minutes and Menaggio in 20 minutes.

Nothing it was perfect

Everything was just perfect! The house has everything you need, it's spacious and private with a lovely garden and a balcony that offers a view that leaves you speechless. There is a private parking and the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend.

We loved everything, just be aware there is a steep climb to the house so attention is required while driving there. But it is definitely worth every bit!

Contacted Alberto via Whatsapp at the airport and agreed on the arrival. Alberto is a super host, took care of everything you need! In the house there were everything you need (microwave oven, kettle, toaster, refrigerator, washing machine, hair dryer, iron, dishes) Big and beautiful house The bed was comfy and clean Nice coffee machine with pods, tea, water Big wardrobe Nice table and chairs for the balcony with a retractable canopy- helped us to enjoy the view and shelter from the hot sun * also in the house you will find many brochures about Como entertainment Would like to come back here again

quite a high hill, but if you have a car and you are a good driver - there will be no problems😉 wi-fi did not work in the bedroom, only in the living room and on the terrace

From the moment we arrived in Lenno, the host, Albert, was incredibly welcoming, kind and accommodating to all of our needs. We had some trouble finding the house when we first arrived, but Albert patiently helped to guide us there. Because we came in the winter, it was quite cold, so Albert always made sure we had pellets for the fire. He even took us back to the house after we went shopping at the grocery store so that we didn’t have to walk up hill with our bags. He made our stay much easier, and it might be helpful to note that travelling as two women, we always felt safe and looked after. Albert also brought us a selection of maps and itineraries filled with local hikes, attractions and recommendations for local restaurants, so there was always plenty to do, especially if you enjoy walking! Aside from the brilliant hospitality, the house itself is beautiful. It’s clean, comfortable and provides necessities such as clean towels, coffee pods for the Nespresso machine and bottled water on arrival. The view from the house is completely picturesque, the photos don’t even do it justice! There is also an awning on the balcony which meant we were able to enjoy the view, even in the rain. I really can not fault Greenlake House, and would definitely come again. 100% recommend!

Before arriving, I did read the reviews and was well aware that the house was located up a big hill, however do be prepared to do lots of very steep walking when travelling to and from the house! It is doable and definitely worth it for the view, but don’t underestimate the size of the hill!

Greenlake House Tremezzina is such a cozy place that made us didn’t want to leave the house. It is situated at a perfect spot looking out to Bellagio and away from the crowd. The property has everything that we needed (cooking utensils, washing machine, microwave, kettle, fireplace with plenty of pallets, and the host Alberto was a very warm and caring person who looked after us very well. Without a car it would be quite challenging to reach as it is situated up in the hill, but for the view? Absolutely worth it!! Around the property there are so much to see even in the low season. Pier Lenno can be reached by walking downhill in 15 mins but probably twice as much the time coming up (again, very nice view so it’s worth it). We went to the local butcher and bought roast beef for Chinese fondue at home. It was top quality meat at very reasonable prices. Supermarket Canad is about 15 mins drive away toward Menaggio, very convenient when we need to pick up food and basic toiletry. All in all, staying at Greenlake House Tremezzina was an experience that we will always treasure!!
