Best value for the price and the cutest couple goals hosts. The room is basic (fan only) with big bathroom ensuite. The hosts are just fantastic super helpful, sweet and cooked deli local food

On first impression this family seems nice and intelligent. Especially the husband, a very smart man you can talk to about almost anything.

But later, I caught the woman (Nalini) entering my room while I was out. Whenever I asked them to respect my privacy, she would get angry saying:our house-our rules. No manners, no understanding, just narrow village thinking with no sense of proper behaviour. Then, while I was in my room (wearing only a bra and pants because rooms are extremely hot and ceiling fans don’t help), Nalini barged in without knocking, started showing me to her son over a video call (I had to wear my T-shirt insanely quickly) and showing him my room, of course without permission. When I got angry (as anyone would), she started kicking me out, insulting and literally abusing me, calling me crazy and that everyone knows it (nonsense, of course). She threw away the gifts I had given them, called me a bitch with a bad heart, and kept repeating: our house-our rooms-our rules. Be careful, she enters your room without permission, and think it’s totally normal. Also while she refunded my stay, she didn’t return the full amount and refused to pay the rest. They constantly talk about money. So it’s clear why: she just kept it. When I asked to pay back I got heavy insults and abuse in my face. Also, while staying, she used to take out things from my garbage bags: really old things, dirty jars, and so on. All my trash I used to find around that house. No privacy with it as well. Rooms are stuffy, old, dirty, insects are everywhere, spider nets, the kitchen is smelly and terrible and the whole place is just poor rural brutal housing :))) I can’t say anything bad about the husband (Thomasz), although a bit foxy but still well-mannered and understanding person.

The most kind and generous hosts who make you feel right at home, going above and beyond in all areas! Good location within walking distance of the beach and 100m from a small corner shop.

A comfortable and homey place to stay. You'll have a private room with a separate entrance, which adds to the convenience. The bed is comfortable and comes with a mosquito net. The private bathroom has a cold shower. Every morning, you'll be treated to delicious breakfast.

The couple hosting is simply wonderful—attentive and not overbearing. I broke my foot while staying there, and they helped (arranged transportation and even accompanied me without hesitation) with everything. I couldn’t have had better support. They prepare amazing home-cooked meals and even do laundry that comes out smelling fresh. They set up a table and chair in the garden for me. It is a classic Sri Lankan style home with Sri Lankan sheets and pillows and an overhead fan. A great experience to have!

For me, I need to have more western amenities after a few days. But I always love getting out of my comfort zone on occasion. And Anthony and Nalani make the experience that much better!

Such a lovely family and community here. I wish I could have stayed longer. If you want to have a family away from your own family whilst you are on your travels this is the place to stay. I hope one day I can return again. Thanks for the wonderful stay and all the lovely food too!
