Please note that this is not a hostel, but a separate room in the owners' house with its own separate entrance. If you decide to stay here, you will immerse yourself in the real authentic atmosphere of Sri Lanka! A wonderful local family who will take care of you 24/7. They will feed you very tasty and hearty food, communicate with you, help with everything! Kabalana beach is within walking distance, where there is great surfing. I highly recommend this place for real travelers who love a real atmosphere, not tourist pathos. P.S. I liked it so much that I decided to extend my stay there for another 4 days. The food is extraordinary. I got a huge and delicious breakfast and Nalini even made me some vegetable Roti for my travels. Tomasz and Nalini are very kinds and caring.

Outstanding hosts, great dinner, amazing value for money

It’s not a hotel so keep that in mind when you’re booking.

Lovely couple are hosting me like as a family:) I ended up stayed there for 3 nights. They cooked for breakfast and dinner(optional) I really loved it. They’re always caring, smiling, i had good time during my stay. It’s good experience to stay with Sri Lankan family:)) it’s really affordable so perfect for backpackers.

Wifi wasn’t stable since they using hotspots, if they are gone I couldn’t use it.

It's and very bad experience for me as a tour chauffeur first time I was facing like this problem. They contacted me over the phone and ask am I Sinhalese,Tamil or Muslim. My reply was I'm a Sri Lankan,they Replied no room for Sri Lankans. I was so confused and worried lot afte that.

Staying here is just great! First of all its close to the busstop, trainstation and to the beach and the centre. Then the hostst, both super nice people who make you feel at home. They make you breakfast and if you want also lunch and dinner. I helped cooking dinner and it was a lot of fun making rice and curry. Now I know how to do that at home. The rooms are clean and big which is also great.
