Koyasan Space

The host was excellent and very caring. She made sure that the stay was comfortable and that you well taken care off. In addition, she helped with tips to visit the various cultural centers in Koyasan, made arrangements to visit a prayer ceremony at a temple and be thoughtful about travel arrangements.

The property was lovingly restored by the owner and she is a very attentive hostess. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed our conversations with Paola.

The only issue we had during our stay was the temperature in the house. We visited in mid March when the outside temperatures were often below zero. The bedroom is not well insulated and the temperature approached 30F. I am sure that staying during other seasons will be a wonderful experience.

The inside was totally new and really clean.

It was a little chilly, but we got used to it.

Koyasan Space was one the highlights of my trip to Japan. It’s a beautiful place, in an ideal location and the host was very welcoming and warm. I felt quite at home and especially appreciated the attention to detail. I would stay here again and highly recommend to others looking to visit Koyasan.
