Hotel Marilyn

It is the best place I have stayed in Negombo. Located at a very good location but quiet, the house is super clean and tidy. I have a large room with big bed, bright toilet and AC with a very good price. The host is also a wonderful part here. He helped me a lot with his honesty and kindness.

The manager Dehan was super helpful and really went the extra mile. Great value for money, good WiFi and central location

The staff is amazing. He’s kind and available for every need you have. The location is also great, very close to the beach and also not in the principal street so it’s very relaxing

Was little overprice in my opinion

Room was spacious, with plenty of natural light, and balcony looked out on garden and trees. Very convenient location, it's a short walk to beach and nearby restaurants/cafes/mini-marts.

More, brighter, lights in the room would be convenient, as would a chair on the balcony.

The host was very friendly and welcoming. He was there throughout for any assistance and allowed late check in and check out which was great as it makes your travel plans/itineraries more flexible. This is a big advantage cause it allows room to book flights more freely.

There was a power outage and no backup generator. You would be unlucky if it happens again on the day of your arrival as these are not planned. Overall, the place is not really a hotel, it’s a house with multiple bedrooms with their private bathrooms so when it comes to amenities, don’t expect a lot and for your toiletries, only a soap and towel is provided so don’t think it would be provided as you would assume a hotel would provide.

Rooms: Comfortable beds with good AC. Great bathroom with good shower temperature and pressure. Location: Perfect location, just off the main road and beach. Everything is easily accessible yet still quiet. Close to many great restaurants. Try Toro Steakhouse, Leonardos Italian and Boho Cafe. Host: Amazing guy. Allowed us to wash and dry and clothes for free. Couldn’t do more to help us.

Top accommodation and great value .. super location near the beach and restaurants. The room is big and very clean. Hotel Marilyn comes highly recommended. Host arranged an early airport transfer, too.
