FILocated a bit outside of the town center but still ideally so to take scenery walks covering beautiful sights of Lake Kivu and the loop around the town. I was surprised of the size of my “room”, it was sort of a tent but has actual wooden structures inside that make up of two bedrooms, a living room, a room for luggage and a big bathroom, and of course a big porch overlooking Lake Kivu and surrounding area. I had breakfast and dinner at the main house terrace many times, and the food was delicious. The staff was lovely; they taught me card games and offered me to sample local traditional dishes while they were having lunch and we had fun practicing to ride e-bike before my Congo-Nile cycling trip😊 A special thanks to Jen who took great care of me during my whole stay but also when I was sick for one day. She brought water, fresh juices and towels to my tent while I was bedridden and even offered to go to town to buy medication. They can call moto for you if needed (motos of course also pass by frequently so you can just stop out onto the street) and arrange boat tours at the lake with their own staff captain. Unfortunately, I had already arranged a boat tour with someone else, so cannot review their tour. The location near the lake attracts some bugs and the tent zipper was broken and unable to close, so this was the only complaint. However, the bedrooms have nets, actual doors and a lock so there is no need to worry about unwelcome company during the night 😊 I didn’t have warm water during my stay but I’m not even sure should there be since I did not bring this up/checked the description. I definitely recommend staying in Mzinga to get a different experience from regular hotel rooms.

GBThe views are nice all around. The location is very good , at walking distance to the lake. The staff were great always ready to help. They set up a nice wood fire outside for us to chill. The included breakfast was plenty and tasty. The accommodation was spacious and it didn't miss anything.
There was rarely any hot water in the bathroom, the showers enclosure was missing a door, so the water was going everywhere and made the place a mess. The zip on the front door was broken on most tent so we couldn't close properly. Most windows cover were loose I felt like the whole thing must have been great at the beginning but is not well maintained.
BEEverything was fine and the team is extremely nice. The view is astonishing. Breakfast and restaurant is vary good (best fish curry ever).
There was no hot water for shower (under repair during our 5 day stay). Be careful on weekend nights : there is a beach at 500m where you can have loud music.
DKGreat views. Fair price.
There was very little hot water. There was no privacy between the toilet and the rooms inside the tent, as the walls didnt go all the way up to the ceiling. The wifi didnt work in the tents.
CZSuper experience in this tent. Luxuriously equipped. Super view of the volcano from the restaurant. Excellent food. Friendly service.
There were 5 of us. There was no option for 1 three bedroom tent on Booking. Only 2 two bedroom tents. So when the nice lady showed us 1 with three bedrooms tent, we said that was enough. However, we had to pay for both of them
COThe property is very nice, the view is amazing.
I got robbed of $140 from my bag, it either happened during breakfast or when I wasn’t around. When I asked the receptionist about security cameras, she couldn’t have cared less and be more rude. The rest of the staff was really nice, but in situations like this… seriously, WTF?

NZThe location is wonderful. You get serene views over beautiful lake Kivu. The town of Kibuye really is just a short walk away. If you take the loop road along the coastline you will get rewarded with great views! The staff is amazing. Everybody working there is just so kind, welcoming and cares a lot about guest. Food at the restaurant was always good too! The rooms/tents are spacious, basic but well maintained. I was able to choose freely since when I arrive no other guests were there.
Unfortunately the Wifi didn’t work almost all of the time. I did not mind too much but if you’re dependent on it you should probably ask before booking.

ITNice view to the lake, and easily reachable. The tend are very big and picturesque. Good for the cost.
A bit slow in the service, but very kind
