Tugende Hostel

The staff was super helpful and friendly, especially Ariane. She helped me check in and gave me plenty of helpful advice regarding my stay. Also, she went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I had some lunch leftovers but there was no fridge in the rooms. She helped me ask the cafe staff to store my leftovers in their fridge. And then when I got hungry and wanted to have my leftovers for dinner, she asked the cafe staff to heat up my leftovers, and they even added some condiments to make it more tasty! Also, my outbound flight was late in the evening, and they allowed me to check out late in the afternoon to make my last day more comfortable and convenient. This is not a luxurious hotel, but the rooms are clean and comfortable, the internet is fast and stable, the staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating, the food is delicious, the ambiance is calm and relaxing, the location is central and convenient, and the view is breath-taking. I ended up spending long hours just chilling on the balcony with some wine and a book, admiring the view and enjoying the ambiance. There is a Simba supermarket 5 minutes' walk away, which makes buying pretty much anything you need super convenient.

This hotel/hostel is the best one in Kigali! The staff are extremely warm and welcoming. The rooms and beds are super comfortable and big. The location is exceptional, right in front of the convention center. The cafe has an excellent variety of espresso styles coffee drinks, beer, smoothies, and cocktails! The food was phenomenal and was made by classically trained chefs. I can't wait to go back to Tugende!

I simply loved the ambiance of the place. It was very nice place to hangout and especially loved the cafe, which had vegetarian menu and was presented beautifully. the shopping complex was not far and had near by bookstore. it had perfect location

May be need more space for guesthouse to hang at restaurant area as the place was occupied with outsiders working with their laptops.

The staff were outstandingly good and helpful. The place is buzzing with activity and great vibes. The food is fantastic. The property has been there a lot longer than the fast-growing city so now has a really prime location as the heart of the city is forming all around it. The staff are so good, you can aske them to 'sort' anything out you need such as transfers, deliveries, bike-fixing and they will deliver, perfectly, every time.

The shower was poor (as are all the plumbing situations in Rwanda I came to find!)

The location is excellent. The staff are friendly and always ready to assist. Though, the cleanliness could be better.
