Tugende Hostel

I like the calm and relax area in the hotel. It was super nice to seat and drink a coffee and tea. Plus the breakfast was amazing! The staff was also very helpful and kind.

They could improve the showers in the dorm rooms a bit. They are OK but the water didn't always come out of the shower.

I really liked the place. The food was super delicious! The coffee was amazing! I would recommend

A wonderful atmosphere and staff right in the heart of the city. You can walk to the convention center, Kigali Heights, Kimihurura, and much else in 15-20 minutes. Everyone from the front desk, servers, bicycle repair technicians to the owners greet you with smiles and care! The coffee is crafted by expert baristas, and all the scratch made food is exquisite. Everything here is made with love and it shows in the details. Waking up here every morning in a soft, comfortable bed to the sounds of birds and joyous laughter was a pleasure I’ll always remember. The vibes here are perfect. Murakoze!

There are so many great people you may encounter in the cafe you might find it hard to focus on the boring work you have to do.

It is very close walking distance to the convention center. The staff employees were capable and responsive. The coffee at the cafe was excellent.

I was in room 2, and the noise outside at various points but especially early in the morning was disturbing—including someone, guest or staff I’m not sure, talking for a long time on a personal phone call. The “included” breakfast food was as of this writing nothing to celebrate—a dry egg sandwich on an English muffin. With some pleading they added an avocado and tomato. The shower was ok but the water never rose above lukewarm. There was only one electrical outlet in the room—the one in the bathroom. A middle-aged European man, I think one of the owners, was lounging with his bare feet on a sort of outdoor sofa in the space reserved for the cafe. It didn’t seem to occur to him to change positions when I came in to eat. He did say “hi!,” which kind of made it more nauseating. There was no in-room coffee and it wasn’t clear enough whether the water in the glass jar provided was filtered or tap water. The in-room lighting was harsh and the two twin beds just ok. There was no temperature control inside the room, so I had to open a window, which increased the noise from outside.

There is an amazing cafe at the hotel! The quiches were delicious and the service was excellent. All of the staff at the are very welcoming and the location is right in the middle of Kigali - we could walk to everything we needed. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Perfect location, amazing breakfast, and super friendly staff. It's a brand new place with a cycling theme, and there is a bike workshop on premise, which gives it a special atmosphere. The food at the cafe is spectacular, not only the breakfast but also the lunch menu. Comforatble beds
