Seaside International Hostel

Great location and general amenities. The kitchen was well stocked. The living area was comfortable. It was relatively affordable. The room was great for our family of three. It was really nice that linens and bath towels were provided.

It's a nit picky thing that I think is unavoidable at hostels but other guests did not clean up after themselves in the kitchen (dirty dishes in sink, food left out, etc.). The advertised dining area had apparently been converted into a Staff Only hang-out room; this was a bit disappointing since it doesn't really facilitate the community vibe and it left no place to really sit and eat inside. In general, the staff was MIA except for the one person we saw doing laundry and the noise from the Staff room, which is fine but a little odd. The parking situation is pretty tight as there does not appear to be enough parking when the rooms are full. Plus there is no enforcement of the limited parking spots; When we arrived, someone was parked well over the lines taking up two spots and there were unmarked vehicles parked in the handicapped spot (and an area marked "no-parking"). So, clearly parking is an issue. But, again, probably unavoidable.

Very dirty. Leaves in the bathroom floor, sheets had stains in them, curtain didn’t go the end of the window, toilet didn’t flush good, sink drained slow, the kitchen area was filled with flies and bugs, sliding glass door from general area broken and hard to open. Run down place. Not happy at all. Asked for refund and manager said would apply but had to go through Booking.com since 3rd party. Did and never received refund. Went to Bad to worse each step. Was suppose to stay 3 nights and left after night one.

To small no TV, no Ac, the to towells to old no extra touilet paper,no trash can, there was flies and ants in the room

Lovely lofted room, kayaks, friendly staff !

Good location. Comfortable bed. Canoes were neatly stacked and outside property was clean.

Poor haphazard appearance from roadside. Whoever painted the rooms was either stoned, didn’t care or doesn’t know better as evidenced by door trim. The door to room 6 needs weather stripping so you don’t see sunlight when closed. There was rot on the outside lower window of one rooms. Evidence of mold in lower right hand exterior corner of shower install. The caulking and mold need to be removed and very neatly re-caulked.
