The apartment had a wonderful view out over the surrounding Tuscan countryside from up on the city walls. San Gimignano is compact so it's easy to walk around from this home base. The decor was quite homely but sweet.

The location was perfect, the view was amazing and Silvia the owner was lovely.

The shower was too small.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. What can I say? The view from the apartment is simply the best! It is also strategically located. Though the weather was cloudy and drizzle rains at times, I was content with simply doing nothing and enjoying the village. The owner is most hospitable. I hope to come here again.

How quickly time flies.

For us, this place could be a great option for people looking to be inside SG at very affordable rates. We spent 80% of our time traveling, and one thing we learned from experience is that what is worth 5 stars for some could be worth 1 star to others. So let me tell you what you get with this apartment 1. The owner, Silvia, is just an amazing host. She was willing and prompt in trying to resolve any possible issues that had a possible solution. She knows Tuscany so well that she will offer recommendations for a full month if that's how long you are staying. 2. You are inside SG, which is great if you don't have a car. You are 5 minutes away from the city center. 3. If you have a car, you are 15 minutes away from the closest parking place P2, which is always full in peak season, and almost full until 11/04. 4. The apartment is on the 3rd floor. No elevator is available. 5. The apartment is located on a quiet building, quiet area, and has amazing views of the Tuscan rolling hills. 6. The bathroom is equipped with a small shower, which will not accommodate comfortably people over 200 pounds. 7. The unit offers a portable A/C unit that you can move from the living area to the bedroom as you wish, but it is noisy. From late October nights cool down, and you could have windows open, but you are subject to mosquitoes and other insects to come in. I think in the summer you will need the A/C on 24/7. 8. The apartment is equipped with a dishwasher, washer, small kitchen appliances, and the A/C unit. You must consider that due to city constraints, you can't use any two of these appliances at the same time because you will exceed the current demands and they will trip off. I was informed this is the case of any apartment in the city, but I can't confirm it. It is what it is. 9. There is a small 15' dated TV set in the living area if you want to catch up with news at night. 10. The WIFI signal was strong day and night. 11.

The most unbelievable location. The view was to die for. Only a few minutes walk to the centre of San Gimignano in a fully equipped and comfortable apartment.

Lack of suitable glass ware. Only one wine glass and a couple of tiny champagne flutes.

Very comfortable apartment with the best views in all of San Gimignano. This accommodation has everything you need to be comfortable. It's location is also very central and very walkable to everything you could possibly want in one of the world's most incredible towns.

A fantastic location, being on the town perimeter and waking up to bird song and looking out over the slowly-evaporating mist in the layered valleys. You couldn't wish for a better outlook! The apartment was homely and a short stroll to cafes and restaurants. Definitely a great spot!

The air-conditioner could do with being replaced, being old, noisy and fairly ineffective, however the afternoon breeze cooled the apartment down quickly.

The accommodation is medieval building which is charming.

The instructions to get the keys could be clearer. Ideally with photos along with the written instructions.

Settee and chair do need re covering as per previous comments. Not suitable for someone who cannot carry luggage upstairs (2 floors).
