Talkeetna Roadhouse

unfortunately the bakery was closed on the day we stayed but, the owner did bake some great cookies for us to have. Right in the center of town amongst the climbers coming from Denali with stories to tell. Fantastic, quaint, old school place brimming with history and quiet after the day travelers depart. Great value and experience.

If you do not appreciate quaint basic lodging this is not a fashion center but, rather a Alaskan experience dating back decades and has a incredible charm and oneness with the land.

Amazing experience staying in 100+ years old building

This was the cutest place to stay! We had all three rooms and the bathroom upstairs so it felt more private. If you are a small group or traveling on your own, you may only have one of these rooms. The downstairs gathering area was fascinating, filled with all kinds of Denali memorabilia of past expeditions. I know there were other people staying in the rooms downstairs, but we never saw them. But there is plenty of room for everyone in the main gathering area. We loved the bakery that was connected and ate something from there each morning. The Talkeetna Raodhouse really just felt like you were coming home each evening or visiting a grandparent's house. There were even fresh cookies in the kitchen area when we got there!

The upstairs area has very creaky floors. Not unsafe creaky, just keeping with the original atmosphere of the building kind of creaky. It caught us off guard at first and I was really only worried about it because I felt like I might be disturbing the people below us in the gathering area. However, I don't think it was that noticeable downstairs.

Zeer gehorig Synthetische plastic aandoende lakens Waardeloze gordijnen, terwijl het daar in de zomer amper donker wordt Wij hadden kamer 2, deze heeft een badkamer op de gang, naast de slaapkamer. Net als kamer 1

I loved this old charming place with a good spirit and wonderful staff.

Cute place right on Main Street. Excellent breakfast. Super friendly. Free Shuttle service from train depot.

Pizza place across the street played music so I had trouble getting to sleep Good black out drapes would help.

Loved the quaint nature of this place! Felt like real Alaska - in the middle of the town, amazing!

We stayed at the front of the building and unfortunately the street was loud into the night

Trisha was great, drove us to and from the bus depot at Mahay's. The Roadhouse was very comfortable and breakfeast was excellent. Definitely would stay again.

Klein, aber sehr fein. Extra Dusche mit WC. Sehr gute Cookies!
