Sonder The Plymouth

The room was small. The photos on booking.com were inaccurate for a 2 bedroom.We were disappointed with the staff on reception.There was a young man who was extremely unhelpful and apathetic 😐 We had to bungle along when we checked in on 18 July and he did not seem interested in helping us.It took a full 5 minutes before he asked if we needed any assistance while we had been standing no more than 2.5 meters from his desk…Wow!We were so disconcerted! Total lack of customer service!!

The size of the room was too small.The location was not that central.We would not recommend this property.

The apartment was filthy, nasty really, when we arrived. There were crumbs in the bed sheets, so many toenails all over the floor, and about two years worth of mold on the grout in the bathroom. No one staffs this building so you have to text through an app. I was told no one could clean or provide clean sheets until tomorrow. Marriott expects you to sleep on the last occupant's sheets. Not able to find last minute accommodations, we washed the sheets ourselves and cleaned the whole place. Yes, it's close to lots of things, but do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere, anywhere else.

Great location - very central. Good for public transport. Ever so slightly sketchy vibe in the evenings, but basically fine. Apartment very spacious and well-equipped.

Beds were a bit small. Pillows were rubbish.

The Sonder Plymouth cancelled my reservation 3 hours before check in and left me scrambling to find somewhere to stay. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere

There was no water. We moved out and management is yet to get back to us and have not offfered a refund.

On our 3rd day the water stopped working around 10 pm and we couldn’t use the toilet nor shower. My stay there gave me a massive outbreak of acne maybe due to water or unclean sheets as there was a smell from the pillow which we couldn’t identify til later. The “24” hour service wasn’t really any help as no one was in the building to really help properly when we water more toilet paper, towels, or laundry detergent. The place had a few already broken parts of the house already before we got there including a glass cup. To add onto the service, when we did call for help they had us on hold for 1 hour waiting for an answer. Overall was a bad experience and stay.
