Sonder The Plymouth

The apartment felt safe. We had to use a code to get into the building and another to get into the apartment. The staff member who came to bring us fans was really friendly and nice. The rooftop rec room and outside seating area was neat. The apartment was very convenient to the L and area restaurants. However, it really needed a good cleaning. The shower had mold in it which was pretty gross. The table and floor had crumbs. The apartment got very hot at night. The man who came to bring us fans told us that the mini-splits are set to blow hot or cold air depending on the ambient temperature. I'm not used to not being able to control my own heat/cool settings. Clearly it's an issue because they had plenty of fans to bring us and then later brought fans to our neighbors. The walls of 2 of the bedrooms didn't go all the way to the ceiling so that limited privacy, and exacerbated noise and light from others who wanted to stay up later.

Location was really handy for subway and L train. It was great location. Coffee etc in apartment, plus toaster and kettle. Rooms were good size. Apartment was very secure.

There is a luggage storage room which is great and there are smaller lockers for valuables according to the app. Over 3 days we checked to get keys for one of them so that we could leave tablets etc in there as we weren't leaving until night time. There were no keys in any lockers. Seems people are using them to store items as there are no safes in the apartments, which doesn't seem fair

We had a wonderful experience staying here! The apartment offered plenty of space for our family of four, including our two young boys. It was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a family visit to Chicago. We loved how easy it was to walk to the Shedd Aquarium, Maggie Daley Park, Color Factory, and so many great restaurants nearby. One of our favorite highlights was spending time on the 12th-floor community space — playing ping pong while watching the sunset was unforgettable. We would absolutely stay here again!

My friend and I stayed in a 2 bed apartment on the 8th floor, it had everything we needed, was very comfortable and clean, also liked the rooftop terrace and ground floor lounge. Kitchen had everything we needed and several shops nearby. Laundry in unit was a plus, though we didn't need to use it. Guests can restock supplies from lobby cabinet as needed (extra coffee and tea). We could easily walk to all locations in the Loop and the subway is very close by for further exploring. Lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood as well. Easy check in/out with door codes, and free luggage storage.

Located opposite L train, was loud however earplugs were provided. If you are a light sleeper keep this in mind (though it may be the same situation if staying in any central location. I believe the building had other units facing the other direction, may be quieter on that side. Could not control the temperature, the unit switched between heating and cooling and was either freezing or comfortable. May differ if staying in summer an AC is on. There was also a water disruption during our stay, however we were informed it was a city issue, not the building, and was resolved within the day.

Its was amazing, excellent location, you have everything near. The security for entry its was pretty easy, amazing View. They answer all my questions inmediatly. I hope come back soon and stay more days in this Sonder. Everything great! I recommended
