Penthouse Apartment in Melb CBD Perfect Location

Amazing location, our concierge Pearl was absolutely fantastic. Made use of the pool which was beautiful kept. Apartment was amazing, clean and inviting.

The location was good and it was secure.

It was advertised as a 3 x 3 but only a 3 x 2 plus an extra toilet, we booked it because we were expecting 3 bathrooms. The 2 bathrooms each had mould in showers, one didn’t drain and other had light globes that needed replacing, a large person would not be able to fit in the cubicle as the door opens inwards and it was a struggle to get around it and shut the door. Advertised as generous double beds but they are standard double. Had trouble finding second bathroom as it was hidden behind a wardrobe, concierge didn’t even respond when asked where it was but cleaner who let us in did. Had a pull out couch but no mattress for it… again asked for assistance but didn’t get any. Found it under stair storage with a used sheet on it. Carpet throughout was stained. Couch throw pillows need to be washed as badly stained. 2 of our group have bad animal allergies, wasn’t advertised as animal friendly but their allergies flared up badly. The air conditioning upstairs did not work at all. We emailed the booking team as concierge didn’t respond. They asked us to email list of problems but did nothing to fix anything.

ON ARRIVAL THE AIR CONDITIONER DID NOT WORK IN ANY OF THE 3 BEDROOMS. WE CONTACTED THE PEOPLE STRAIGHT AWAY AND ANOTHER 3 TIMES AND OVER 6 NIGHTS NOBODY CAME AND EVEN LOOKED AT IT. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Location and size of the apartment

It was dirty and outdated. Furniture is worn, kitchen and bathrooms were grubby. Also had a demand of a security deposit 24 hours before check in. It was impossible to call to query it. I wasted so much time trying to get hold of someone that represents the booing agent ….

The decore, I liked being up high, I liked the upstairs/downstairs. The apartment has a “Wow” factor. It’s big and spacious. We are a family of 5 with adult children so it was lovely having so much room. The free tram stop right outside was convenient.

The open balcony was concerning but looking out I saw alot of open balconies, maybe a way of locking the door to the balconies would be nice. The master bed was abit hard for us, maybe a mattress topper would be nice.

The location and the proximity to transport services. The apartment was nice.

The unorganized process of receiving keys and no immediate access upon arrival (at nominated check-in time of 4pm) Being unable to access the room until after 6pm on day of arrival due to a previous late check-out and the apartment needing to be cleaned. The promise of a $50 credit that never eventuated.
