Atrium Hotel Heathrow

It was comfortable and close to Heathrow for our early flight. Good was good in the restaurant but a bit pricey.

Overall the hotel suited my needs

We were given the wrong room that had silver fish in the shower, they then moved us after the staff were very rude, when we went to reception to tell them the problem we waited and while waiting to be seen, someone else came up to the counter and was spoken to straight away, after my husband saying something They then decided to speak with us, asking us to wait, I showed him picks of the Silver fish in the shower and the single, it took about 10 mins but later came up with a new room Which was clean and nice

The Atrium Hotel was clean, close to the airport and had very friendly and helpful staff. Muriel was excellent at helping me to get a late checkout and suggested Kingston, a lovely town, to spend some time before our flight that was later in the evening. To get to the touristy stuff in London was a bit over an hour away by subway and 45 minutes by Uber. But that just added to our visit by learning their transportation systems. The room was a nice size for my family of 4. There was a gas station nearby for water and snacks. A subway/bus station was just across the road.

We only stayed one night during our layover, but appreciated the close proximity to the airport. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the morning.

Great hotel and facilities

Unique spa pool

Poor reception experience (closed and locked main doors), had to walk around to the side and track down staff. The rooms had clear wear and had areas that clearly hadn't been cleaned well.

The room was large. It was airconditioned. It was very quiet despite being near the airport. It was easy to get to and from the airport.

Firstly, this is an airport hotel. If you need fast in and out of the airport, this is a very good spot. We went here knowing what to expect. Rooms are big and clean, bathroom is clean and the water pressure is amazing. The hotel is huge, the staff is amazing and it is next door to Heathrow. Cons are the limited dining option, they have a place where you can get some coffee/juice and ice cream and a restaurant that is in this massive room. I guess they do buffets here twice a week. Be also aware that this is one of those hotels where buses of tourist gets dropped off and other packaged/school outings and trips stay. Do not be surprised when you arrive that there are 50-100 people walking around the lobby. There is an underground stop across the street and it is a good spot to stay when you are about to fly off with an early flight, this is not where to stay if you want to explore London.
