Hope Street House

The location was amazing. The beds were the most comfortable so far in our 7 days in England. The rooms were Spa-like. The location was amazing.

The check in instructions did say there was an alarm to turn off, but most people (including us), won't read past getting in. The alarm blared for a few seconds before I could shut it off. I would put the alarm bit in the preface of the instructions and stste in Caps "ONCE YOU OPEN THE DOOR, FOLLOWING THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS, IMMEDIATELY CLICK THE UNLOCK ON THE PROVIDED REMOTE". Your neighbors will appreciate the gesture.

The house is located in a quiet area. with its own parking space, and it is only a short walk into town. It is clean and the beds are very comfortable. It makes a great base for exploring York. We will definitely come back again and would recommend it to others.

The property was spotlessly clean with tasteful decor and a real eye for detail. Many little extras were provided, such as coffee, tea, and milk to start. As well as ample kitchen equipment and crockery, there was a coffee machine and a bottle fridge. All the rooms were very comfortable, and the lounge was cosy with ample seating. Having 3 bathrooms was really great. It really was a spacious house with room for 3 cars to park off-street. The weather wasn't quite warm enough to use the outdoor seating, however, it did look useful. The house is situated in a quiet area and yet close enough to walk into town and to all of the various attractions. It's also very close to one of the Hop on/off bus stops. The Castle Museum was a very short walk away. The owners responded to our queries very quickly and were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend a stay here..

To accommodate a 10 sleeper that living area was a bit small but for a house so close to city center that was a small issue

This property is excellent for large family occasions. Close to town, everything possible you would need including games and toiletries. Excellent communication with hosts. The kitchen is well stocked and very clean. There is plenty of space for 4 cars.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The house was bright and very comfortable. Nicely decorated to a high standard. Each room had just what was needed. The bedroom lamps had USB ports which where very useful. Location was perfect for our needs. Everything within easy reach. York is a lovely place to visit with lots to see and do. Good choice of local restaurants too.

Great location and lovely house

The property was very clean, in a great location and very comfortable. Caroline was extremely helpful and prompt in answering all my questions. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Can't think of anything!

The facilities were excellent lovely bathrooms comfy large beds . Parking for 3 cars position of the house great only 10 min walk into York centre, acesss onto the castle walls at the end of the street. Would definitely stay again

The shower head over the bath came off but we didn't need to use it again so reported it and hopefully will now be fixed. Also the small settee under the window in the lounge was not as comfy as the rest if everyone was in the lounge.

Really nice rooms and well equipped home. Great location very close to the city centre. Very helpful staff.
