Great onsen resort for a relaxing stay. It offers everything you need. The baths are amazing. So are the rooms. Dinner and breakfast was amazing. A bit too much but amazing. Free parking is available. During over stay there was construction work going on, so we got free drinks, that was nice.

The layout is a bit hard to understand and it's quite easy to lose way on the way to the n hotspring. The hotel does a great job in using signs and explaining tough

Onsen was amazing, especially the panorama open-air bath. Water was of great quality. Dinner/breakfast were also great. The products were very fresh and the menu brought modernity in a traditional meal. Staff was very helpful. I liked the emphasis on recycling amenities, not wrapped in plastic as it is usually the case. Thank you!

Coffee for breakfast would be great !

ビリヤード楽しかったです。夫婦で対決して買ってしまいました。子供向けボードゲームやバドミントンなどの貸し出しもあったので子供も楽しめると思いました。お土産物屋さんのところに雲仙温泉の歴史みたいなものが展示してあって初めてきたけどそれも良かったです。内湯から上がった後にオレンジ色のドリンク置いてあって嬉しかったです。お食事どころのネパールの方🔰頑張っていました。朝、みりん干しを運んできた時、テーブルが食器でいっぱいだったので隙間にみりん干しを置いてくれたのですが、魚を横ではなく縦に置きました。非常に惜しい！どんなにテーブルが混み合っていてもテーブルの端でもいいので魚は横向きで置きましょう。でも外国で働くなんてすごいです。頑張って。

始めて利用させて頂きました。　お食事も、土地の食材で美味しかったです。　ただ、ご飯が硬く残念でした。 　

着いてﾎﾃﾙの外観にﾃﾝｼｮﾝが下がり、リラクゼーションの癒が休みと言うことで他のリラクゼーションの案内をしてもらったのですが、聞かれたくなさそうで、受付の女性と青年に疲れが出ました。休みなのは仕方ないですが、ＨＰに記載されていなかったですし、（記載があったとしても分かりにくい）丁寧な説明とフォローがあって欲しいと思った。銀婚旅行で行くと伝えていたのですが、予約していた部屋のグレードが低く考慮できなかったのかエレベーター前の部屋で残念に思った。また、部屋は年期を感じた。本館ロビーは本当に素敵な雰囲気だった。お風呂も新館の露天風呂より本館の方が渋くて落ち着いた。が新館の露天風呂は満点の星が見えたのが良かった。口込み通りの食事（かんぴょう出汁のしょっつる鍋は初めての味わいで、旅行に出向いた甲斐がある一品だった。その場所の食材や食べ方等がメニューに盛り込まれていた）の美味しさと、記念写真のサービスでお祝いﾌﾟﾚｰﾄが素敵だったし嬉しかった。（花火の時間があって、机の上の整理がつかないままの写真になったのは気になった。）

I stayed in the new building of Fukudaya. The old building is more than 50 years old and the new building was completed in 2016 with only 7 rooms which have modern decorations. Besides, there is in-room outdoor onsen in every room. The outdoor public onsen of the ryokan is on the top floor of this new building. If you stay in the new building, the minibar is free and they refill it every day. If you go there from Nagasaki, you can take Nagasaki Keneibus. It takes around 1.5 hours. You can take off right in front of the ryokan. I stayed there for two nights. Their breakfast and dinner were quite nice. They will prepare dinner menus for you if you stay there for more than one night.

It was an comfortable 40-minute drive from Shimabara Port to Unzen on a drizzly misty Wednesday afternoon. Fukudaya is easy to pick out in this small mountain resort being the tallest-looking. We found making reservations directly on the hotel website a little tricky so resorted to a booking platform. However a request for the new premium wing could not be entertained so we settled for the older main building. Negative online comments of the old rooms seemed unfounded as they were very clean and neat - yes, there were some very minor wear and tear issues but nothing so serious. Our rooms #305 & #306 were small but well laid out with a western bed area and a tatami style sitting area. The prefab bathroom is equally compact but fully equipped with all the conveniences. Things we loved about Fukudaya: - warm helpful welcoming reception & efficient valet service - private dining in the new wing and tasty meals for both dinner and breakfast - the relaxing indoor & outdoor hot spring baths - comfy yukatas and jackets being the regular dress code in the hotel. - the roof top bar (new wing) with the 70’s juke box We will not hesitate to return!
