I liked the layout of the bedroom

Only one drive to park on, wasn’t clear where to park

Large room, lots of space

Check in procedure. We were expecting someone to be on site to great us. There was no mention of self check in on Booking,.com website. I don't monitor emails and messages when I'm away from home. Would be much better in self check in made apparent right from the start when the booking is made. Once we realised that we should look for a message from our host all went well.

The breakfast and self check in.

Comfortable rooms with good internet and self-serve breakfast.

Mishmash of decor, IKEA furniture etc but to be expected at this price point.

Convenient location, close to the town and natural areas. Large rooms and communal area with decent facilities.

In the room, the mattresses are very uncomfortable and not great for a good night's sleep. Blinds are also poor - we kept being woken by headlights from cars using the adjacent car park throughout the night. Only part of one toilet roll provided with no spares in the property, which was very inconvenient! We also had trouble with the key to the bedroom door - very temperamental to lock & unlock, often taking a few minutes to get in or out. In the communal kitchen, 'continental breakfast' was not as good as we expected, I'd have much rather have bought the food myself than pay upfront for that.

Fantastic room in a lovely building. Room was very clean, comfy and well equipped. Downstairs rooms was amazing, lovely breakfast.

Rooms were homely and comfortable. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. Although we didn't cook a meal, the kitchen was well-equipped should we have wished to cook.

It would've been nice to have had shower gel and shampoo provided in the bathroom. We had an initial panic when we couldn't see any shower gel, but subsequently found some available on the table in the hall.
