Doonbank Cottage Bothy

WE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LITTLE BOTHY. Host met me on arrival with a huge welcoming smile and great sense of humour. He offered us home baked scones. The property sits on country setting, animals, birds, bees the river, no sound of traffic. plenty walking for the dog. They even offer a pet sitting or walking service, the guest book has a detailed description of walk routs and pet friendly restaurants near by. bed was supper comfy and the pillows were incredible. i loved it so much i wanted to stay another night but it was booked up already.

An absolute 💎 beautiful location 100% recommended. Relaxing with excellent access to all amenities fantastic pub lunches nearby. The beach for the dog 5 mins drive where you will find a beautiful long beach. A must try for couples with dogs.

The accommodation was as described! Great communication and easy access for checking in and out. Lovely wee slice of peace and tranquility. Just what you need after an all day wedding and staying on a wee bit after. Would recommend and stay again if we ended up that way again.

The bothy was stunning. Exquisite view and walks nearby. Special shout out to the owners who were kind enough to give us some complimentary champagne and scones. Such a nice touch!
