Montacute Country Tearoooms

The room was clean, comfortable bed, the landlady was welcoming!

No breakfast, I should have read a review, this might have been advisable.

Room is too small for what they are charging. No toilet in room. Shower to close to outside window. Called b n b but don’t serve breakfast shouldn’t be allowed to be called b n b

Stairs a little daunting for the elderly or slightly disabled

Quirky accommodation in a beautiful setting. The room was charming and comfortable with a very good shower. Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful. Lovely places to eat nearby and the town itself was beautiful.

As it's advertised as a B&B with pictures of a lovely dining area it would be better if breakfast were included. But it didn't stop us enjoying our stay. Perhaps the listing just needs updated to reflect what's on offer.

Sadly, this location doesn't provide breakfast. I wish they did.

For me the pillows were uncomfy and I didn't sleep well. A choice of pillows would have been really good fory health.

Was a good location and price

The room could do with a little bit of work as the wall behind the bed needed a bit of TLC.

No breakfast provided, but I didn’t expect one, so it was BYO.

The single bedroom was small and claustrophobic. I reckon 4m x 3m max, with single bed, shower, desk and very basic clothes hanging facilities. It was not fully ensuite(No loo). Toilets down the corridor. Toilet number 1: toilet seat broken; toilet number 2: a leak so water on the floor. The kitchen where the communal fridge was housed was an absolute tip. Absolutely no contact with the proprietors during my stay when the above grievances could have been aired. Didn’t see them when I left….A notice on the bedroom door to make sure keys were left…..and that was it! I didn’t pay five star rates so I didn’t expect five star luxury, but this stay was quite unique.

Comfortable room with everything we needed . The town of Montacute was a delight. Lovely host.
