Montacute Country Tearoooms

,Accommodation was clean .parking was in the village square. luckily I could find a place. sorry to find NO BREAKFAST., had to go to the pub, at my expense.!! very cosy bed. The tearoom was more like a museum of toys..no tearoom experience,

It was excellent value for money - a tiny single but everything thought of and so well equipped.

I didn’t like that it was a shared toilet but it was clean, convenient on the same floor and didn’t seem overused by other guests. I imagine this was probably listed in the property facilities though I hadn’t read it so was unprepared for a separate loo.

There wasn’t breakfast, it’s advertised as bed and breakfast you pay for bed and breakfast yet on arrive you find out via a fact sheet that due to Covid breakfast won’t be provided, if I knew that before I would have stayed somewhere else

No breakfast, very misleading information on website, we didn’t even meet the owner on arrival the bed and breakfast accommodation smelt damp, but our room was clean comfortably and didn’t smell damp

Weather

When a property is advertised as Tearooms B&B you might expect a tearoom and a breakfast. Good job the pub down the road stepped in!

Location from venue was perfect!

No towels

The building was interesting, and unusual. quite quaint really, beams in the bedroom. We were on the top floor so good views. The welcome was warm, the facility central to the village.

The fact that there was no breakfast was disappointing but we managed by shopping locally for cereals etc. Crockery and cutlery was provided. Milk was provided and kept in the fridge
