Shenandoah House

Close to beach and also Wonder-works. Jim was great, could not do enough for us. Room was clean and tidy. He welcomed the dog, and garden was enclosed for her. Breakfast was freshly made when we got up. Could not fault.

This is a fantastic b n b. Host Jim is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Rooms are very comfortable and clean and also dog friendly 👌 ☺️ nice garden for the dog to run around

There was nothing not to like

Shenandoah House did not match the rating of 9.1 given by Booking.com. No off street parking, poor location and very low-key brekfasst.

Breakfast and location.

Jim met us on arrival explained where we could park, once in the property we were made very welcome , Jim & family also made our dog Very welcome, we were shown to our room which was nice even had a train line at the bottom of the garden home from home as I live next to a train line , went for breakfast jim made sure we had everything we needed & fussed our dog , breakfast was great plenty on offer to eat , jim was a great host, property well placed to walk the beach , would definitely stay again

Shower wouldn't stay in the middle , kept turning to the wall , couldnt take it out the bracket , but did manage to shower

The owner confirmed question before we arrived and was there to show us the room, letting us know breakfast time and aquantus us with the keys. The room was clean and warm with a separate toilet and shower that worked well. The breakfast was great with a choice of cereal, lots of high quality full english breakfast items and toast with jams. Lots of drink options too with fresh orange juice. Jim the owner has made a special place to stay, even allowing guests to use the dining area outside of breakfast time with a microwave available to use. There are information leaflets for the area too, with the main town just being a short walk away. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Thanks Jim
