Wonderful breakfast

Not enough staff to run the place as a hotel

Room was clean and modern, no problems for secure parking.

I choose the 111 breakfast. That’s one of everything egg, bacon , sausage, beans, mushrooms, hash brown,tomatoes and a slice of toast the breakfast was nice . Not worth £9.95 No choice of cereals or extra toast or marmalade. If you want extra then you have to pay extra money.

Pleasant room, plenty of car parking, good location.

No hot water, apparently tank had run cold, hotel wasn't full either, not good washing hair in cold water 🥶 Shower was great, however when there was hot water. TV on the side wall so not the easiest to watch, could do with being on a bracket that puts the TV at an angle. Hotel doesn't usually have folk staying on a Sunday, we did get a breakfast but couldn't have OJ unless we paid for it 🤷‍♀️ we only had a cuppa and scrambled eggs on toast. I think we more than paid for a decent breakfast!!!

Very friendly place, lovely old building, comfortable room and food very good too, enjoyed our short stay 😀

On a Monday, Howden is closed so any accom is struggling. On a Tue it’s a lovely market town and this offers good value basic accomodation - with a good local pint

It’s perfectly fine - but would be helpful if the posting was clear the pub / bar is closed on Mondays so it’s accom only. Rest of Howden closed too - Co op meal deal for me
