Baan Chiang Mai Hostel

A cosy, feel-good-and-easy home of central, but qiiet location, held in warm colours - with a lovely and helpful host .. Highly recomnendable !

I had clean and cozy room with a private bathroom. Comfortable bed, pillow and bathroom next to the room. I love minimalistic style and colorful details. For that price I think it's worthy to stay for sure.

There is a rule: no guests. Which is strange for me. My friens just came with me because I wanted to change and the owner was knoking the door saying that no guest are allowed. I felt a bit confused and dissapointed.

The bedroom was lovely and clean..I found it really comfortable even without air conditioning and the owner also very friendly too! Also the location is great, nice and quiet but still central to everything!

The private bathroom is not in the room but opposite the bedroom which isn’t too much of an issue but just something to be aware of. There was a cockroach in the bathroom one evening but the helpful owner responded to my message right away to clear it for me and gave me something to keep over the shower drain to prevent any more from entering..I did not see any more after this :)

I loved the decor and homey feeling of this place. It was so clean and the owner was the kindest man. Location was close to the action but in a quiet neighborhood.

The mattress wasn't the softest but I still got a great night's sleep.

Cute, cosy room. Location is perfect and most of the old city is in walking distance. Had a good quality hairdryer in the room, which doesn’t seem to be common at this price point in Thailand. Just be aware that this hostel does not show up on Google Maps, and when I took a taxi from the airport using the address on booking.com, I ended up around a 15 minute drive away. Not the host’s fault, he responded quickly to help me find the place. Take a taxi to Huen Chiang Man Hostel, this is on Google maps and it’s right next to Baan Chiang Mai.

There is no soundproofing, so you can hear everything going on in the room next door - people talking or taking a shower. Thankfully the other guests weren’t too noisy.

Nothing tbh. The area is nice though

I disliked it because it is a tiny room and even the upgrade rooms upstairs are tiny. It's noisy because other travelers come home late and you hear everything. It's impossible to shower without having water in all the room. Bed is hard as wood. I booked unfortunately for 2 weeks in advance and wanted to get the money back or even bring a substitute guest for me. The owner didn't agree and I checked out after the first horrible night without getting a penny back. The upper rooms cost more than the lovely hotel around the corner where I stayed in the end.

Very nice owner - everytime very helpful! The room was very nice, too. It is very close to the Center but very calm.
